Better hurry up and sign DJ to put this one behind them lol i think the suspension was effective immediately.............Mike is gonna have to do it.....that could be bad for DJ How much money do they have to give DJ this year? Maybe some of the big cap hit guys will defer till a later date. I heard on serious today that Fitz hinted he may want to play next year!

Pffft! Not all people are the same...I've probably drove home at that & paid more attention to what I was doing than someone at 0.08.

GM blew a .193. Wow. SK needs medical and therapeutic help--lots of it, and Cards organized support. I found this info describing the term "functional alchoholic" tonight: A functional alcoholic might not act the way you would expect him to act. He might be responsible and productive. He could even be a high achiever or in a position of power. In fact, his success might lead people to overlook his drinking.
How many people inside the Cards organization knew about SK's excessive drinking? That's got to be looked into as well.

If he is going to be retained his fine should be at least one years salary. BAC .15 he needs to resign or be fired.

No pun intended.. Sounds like a big time intervention! Hopefully he will have the support/strength to get through it. Another friend for Bill.. if he’s lucky.

That's classic reckless endangerment and a serious crime per my judgment. The fine and suspension will hurt a lot, but not as much as his loss of integrity and credibility with the League and players. SK's going to be reminded of this incident for a long time.

I feel the same. I think a lot of people were hoping for a extremely low BAC, maybe to make it seem less terrible or whatever. Man, .19 is high. There is no way he regains any credibility at all. Probably makes it worse with the Floyd situation from before. Screams hypocritical.

And I remember my dad driving my brother and I home perfectly while drunk as a skunk after softball games - no seatbelts or anything. And then hear my mom yelling at him as he was puking in the toilet. But that's probably something you don't want to say out loud...or on a public forum.

Apparently the difference between Floyd and Keim is Keim is penitent and can hold his liquor (doesn't pass out at intersections like an amateurish lightweight)?*
*Don't get mad, bros. The above was for distasteful humor purposes only.
