Did anyone have Baron Browning on the Cardinals EDGE bingo card? I think not. Added bonus…he’s a free agent next year. Oof I was thinking maybe Chase Young. |

So Baron Browning is the Edge option "rental" to bring in and he is a Buckeye. Of course in practice at Ohio State, PJJ would have practiced against him fairly often so I wonder if Paris gave him a positive assessment to Monti. I sure hope Azeez or Chase Young don't go for a 6th as they would have been my preferred option.
Browning was a 3rd round pick of the Broncos and physical measurables at his Ohio State Pro Day in 2021 had some impressive stats. He ran a 4.56 40 yd dash, he had a crazy vertical of 40" and a crazy good for his size of 6.78" 3-cone time. It should be noted coming out of TX High School he was a 5-star recruit and was a finalist for the Dick Butkus award for top H.S. LB. He will turn 26 in 3 mos.
Incidentally he was on the trade block list from the website - nfltraderumors.co who had this to say: "Browning is an interesting candidate to monitor because he’s flashed some tantalizing upside as a pass rusher since converting from off-ball linebacker — when he’s been on the field." So he is a converted off-ball LB like H. Reddick whom JG unlocked his potential so maybe the coaches/scouts see the same traits in Browning.

I don’t like giving up a 6th for a mediocre half year rental who has missed 3, 3, 7 and 4 games (so far) in his four yr career, and was buried on Denver’s depth chart. Browns fans are celebrating what the might get for Smith now that the Cards gave up a 6th for Browning. Meh for now. |

Well ain’t that something. The old Baron…I remember well the discussions about him and Pete who played lights out for the Saints after being drafted there. I did not see this one coming. |

Our policy is to give credit where it is due I do wish that when we make a trade deal that the member post it separately with the Player's name and a link. trade deadline is an old thread. |
