Crap. For a 6th round pick. He was a healthy scratch earlier this year. Wonder what happened?

If Tennessee got King for a 6th, and we don't make a move...I'm gonna be upset. That would have been big, and we could have easily given up a better pick than that. Gilmore?? C'mon Keim... get it done

Texans might be afraid to trade with the Cardinals again soon, after the drubbing they took from the fan base and media in the Hopkins trade.

Byron Murphy out with COVID for now. CB becomes a pretty big need right now. It’s not like he is going to be out for weeks. Anyone they trade for will most likely miss the Dolphins game anyhow.

New England is officially OPEN to trading Stephon Gilmore- wants a 1st Rounder and a player. Look, we don't know what Pat P is gonna do..he's playing out his contract. Depending on what happens with him, we will likely need to draft a top end CB anyway, which is not a proven commodity. If things go as I suspect, we won't have a necessarily high draft pick anyway. We have a shot this year to do something special.... I want Steve Keim to pull the trigger, get New England on the phone and get this DONE!! Let's lock down our Peterson, Gilmore, Murphy Jr., & Baker!!

If SK it's not on the phone right now with Belichick offering are number one in 2021 and Andy Isabella 4 Gilmore but I propose we all meet at sk's house tonight at midnight and set it on fire. Seriously this move is an absolute no-brainer. If the Cardinals indeed are going to make a deep playoff run and even make the Super Bowl having a dominant secondary would go a long way towards tilting the odds in their favor. How about this dream scenario we get Gilmore for Isabella and a first-rounder and then we get JJ Watt for a 3rd rounder. Has anyone heard what Washington might be wanting for Ryan Kerrigan?

Texans might be afraid to trade with the Cardinals again soon, after the drubbing they took from the fan base and media in the Hopkins trade. It would appear that the Texans were afraid of a taking a drubbing from ANY deal (hence they didn't!). The following snippet comment sums it all up for me - "Fowler: Texans asking for a lot from teams Sense around the league is Texans have wanted high draft picks for multiple players, not just Will Fuller. Makes a deal difficult at a time teams aren't eager to part with more than a Day 3 pick" Yes, I was game for using our 5th Rounder on an additional offensive weapon (WR/TE) and possibly our 7th Rounder on 'a punt'. - However, I am not too disappointed that we haven't (as far as I can tell) taken anyone. - My overriding desire was that we retained our top three draft picks and it would appear that this has been achieved. Very little activity throughout the league and GM's are (rightly so) being cautious. - Cash (unspent on expensive new contracts) and draft picks are king!

I think this post is irrelevant by now. But what the heck. Don't forget that the CAP will be reduced in 2021. Teams may trade for an 8-week wonderboy to playout 2020 and deliver for the playoff run. But no team will tie up millions of guaranteed dollars on a player contract for several years, not for a player that might not be playing nor affordable by next March 1st (start of 2021 NFL year) nor by next September. The FA season starting next spring is going to be very interesting.

The FA season starting next spring is going to be very interesting. This makes a lot of sense. The post-Covid NFL will see serious playoff contenders out of teams who are able to draft well and win with players still on the rookie contracts, and teams who can convince good players to play cheap. Get ready to see a very, very deep Free Agency this next year as there will be a boat-load of cap casualties.
