Interesting. Kirk is really starting to move into that solid #2 and fitz is now #3. Will fitz be back? I seriously doubt at the current salary, just can’t afford him at that number. Isabella I’m starting to doubt can be anything more than a one or two deep route per game reciever. ( I know it’s early but the Metcalf/ Isabella decision may haunt us for a decade) think I would seriously consider this! It's possible Fitz gets paid less if we do well this year (and we don't win sb of course), he will do what he can to help next year. Right now, hes having fun. I'm pleasantly (mildly) surprised by Kirk. I was on the all aboard the CD train, even after Hopkins. I feel we may trade kirk (more as cap casualty.) Cause he's gunna get paid decent soon. Hopefully hometown discount. Hopkins eats up a lot, which is deserved. But he's doing well 0% on Gallup. Cowboys are keeping him and Lamb and getting rid of Amari contract. They need to get Dak on a deal, I'm sure they won't want to franchise him again. It's possible they keep Amari next year and try to do a real do over 1 more time, but they may do a slight retool and help the defense without his contract. He is just droppable after this year. Oh if we had DK...I would not want Lamb (after we got hopkins that is). Isabella has take the top off role. Creates space, lots of space. He may occasionally be worked in some weeks in general. I'm not feeling it with Kesean. He is struggling. I think he has a chance, but it's dropping. Overall, it's good. Kirk is hopefully here to stay, we can't pay him and Gallup. We gotta stay cheap ish after Fitz leaves and we have Hopkins/kirk and whoever by next year. I think Fitz does 1 more year (barring no SB or bad injury). I think maybe...maybe 5% chance he comes back for 2 more but that's max. I would say.

I expect that if we are looking at trade partners that Atlanta, Jets, Giants would be available if there is anybody of interest. Houston would be but not to US. They got so fleeced by SK it is not even funny. Expect they have removed Cardinals phone numbers from all speed dialing.

Whether they can pull it off or not is TBD as I am sure there will be some contenders who make a push for him as well, but do not be shocked if the Cards get JJ Watt.
I wish O’Brien was still there as I would like our chances better. They may be bitter about dealing with us.

I think you would see a re-energized JJ for sure. I assume others will try for him so may be hard, but a little bird tells me we are trying.

Worth certainly a 1 for me. We could well be drafting down at the bottom of draft if all goes well and JJ Watt could make that happen. Basically like a second round pick. I would be all in for that, like a Cards/Chiefs Super Bowl anybody?

I think even a second would hurt but if he can take us over the top great. A third is really the most I would think I would want to give up. He only has two years left on contract at $15mil this year and $17 mil next.

He already said that he would not extend his contract. You better get what you can. It’s gonna be hard trying to come off him next year with him walking after 2021.

I would be all in for that, like a Cards/Chiefs Super Bowl anybody? You know, that's one Super Bowl matchup I'd like. If anyone knows Mahomes weaknesses, you'd have to assume it's KK. Everson Griffin just went for a 'conditional' 6th. I could see Watt being traded for a 'conditional' 3rd, eligible for a 1st if he meets performance metrics. Because of Covid, and next year's draft being such a crap-shoot, this is one year I'd be okay trading picks. There are few guys I wanted in the draft next year, that were sure things, and some, like Jaylen Waddle just suffered drastic injuries. I think we are far more likely to trade for Njoku than anyone, but I did read Gilmore could be traded by the Patriots. I'd much rather see if we can work something out. As much as I like Murphy, he's not a shutdown guy. Bellichek loves getting younger, so maybe there's a deal where we could swap Murphy plus a 5th for Gilmore. Gilmore would provide a bigger boost than Watt. I'm a huge Watt fan, but we need a shutdown CB more than anything else. PP would become our #2 and all the sudden, Seattle, or Kansas City can't run wild on us. Kirpatrick is also a great slot corner from what I recall. I'm also assuming Green Bay will sign a stud WR, so whoever we face in the playoffs, we need another good corner. And there's zero point in trading for anyone, and giving up picks, if the playoffs aren't our focus.

I get positively giddy at the thought of getting Gilmore from the Patriots. Would depend on a price of course. A new name thrown into the possible trade hat is Carl Dunlap from Cincinnati. According to NFL network has been sent home and told not to report to the team while they work out his future. He is openly unhappy and wants to leave. He would be an extremely valuable addition to the Cardinals especially in light of the fact that Zach Allen is now out for the year. Maybe SK could pull two rabbits out of his hat and get Gilmore and Dunlap. Probably not going to happen but it's fun to think about.

If Patriots trade Gilmore for a #1, it'll show me that the Pats Cam Newton experiment is over and they will end up with around the 7th pick in the draft. If they gete another 2021 1st rounder for Gilmore and maybe a 2022 3rd rounder, I see NE offering the Jets BOTH 2021 1st rounders, 2022 1st Rounder, 2021 3rd Rounder and 2022 4th rounder to trade up for Trevor Lawrence. Did you see the Trevor Lawrence's interview where he was coy about maybe coming back to Clemson?? ... I think Trevor is already sending signals to the Jets that he doesn't want to sign with them.

If we wanted to go safety we could sign someone on the market. There is no legit pass rusher out there.the Texans are a dump. He will be traded .

I would do the third, I think he could get inspired and we could use the help. I was thinking about guys leaving and comps picks. Problem is, we are going to have a ton of money (cap reduction affects) and one would think the signings we make will offset any FA’s we lose.
