I have to agree with those that want Rosen sooner than later. The OL has not been playing poorly when it comes to pass protection and their run blocking is a product of teams knowing Bradford won’t go deep. Stack the box, stop the run and pressure the QB have obviously proven successful against Bradford and McCoy and the Cards will see more of the same until some changes are made. I’m ok letting Bradford stink it up a while longer but sooner or later we need to see the future of this team on the field.

Another HC might flip Bradford for Rosen due to Bradford's poor performance. But we all know the GM goal is to build a good team for a long time, not blow the future on an ego trip. Rosen's debut will come when the team is ready and at the right time. I assumed Bradford will not be injured while Rosen ages. (Someone had to be "that guy" who started the chants.) If Bradford were playing like a top 25 QB I might agree, but he isn't. Right now Blaine Gabbert is playing better than him. Sam's not just starting QB bad, he's backup QB bad. Besides, Bradford had an expected shelf life of 3 games. He's past due. He's also averaging a retched 125 yards/gm at 4 yds/att. I understand protecting Josh, but this is embarrassing. And for those wanting Sam or Mike to start for this lousy team... why? If they were getting eaten alive by a porous Oline, then I'd agree. There's no reason to put Josh out there if he's going to get hurt. But the Oline hasn't been a major issue. Only 3 sacks on 61 throws isn't bad. Especially when you consider Donald and Suh got shut out (in sacks). This is actually a great time for Josh to learn. And it's not like he's the first rookie QB in the last 5 years to start prematurely. A number of those guys had success too. While i agree the Oline is looking better than i thought they would....i`m not sure i want mccoy`s greasy paws on my baby.......not to mention no wr`s ..no D...in the end we won't decide anyway...........but i say wait...... this year has always been a throw away year...so let it go as was planned from the get go

One things for sure, not sure what week Bradford’s $5mil playing time bonus kicks in, but I’m certain we won’t be paying it!

Just nervous for the future of this franchise because IMO it lies in the arm of Rosen. Putting him out there now is a risk, again my opinion. This team isnt built to win, I just cant sit here and believe a QB change will turn this team around into a winner. You still have a bad WR core, even of Rosen can make them better, you have a bad OC.

Where does that money get accounted for? The answer is next year. If Bradford plays in 16 games this year, an additional $4.375M will be added to next year’s cap number bringing his ’19 cap to $29.375M. They would be able to release him before next year for a $9.375M dead money cap hit in that case. so the more he plays the more he counts against the cap next season. I say cut him .

we made dj the 2nd highest paid running back in the nfl for less than 50 yards a game. we made fitz the 7TH highest paid player in nfl history, the highest ever to not win a champion ship. we are not against throwing away money, infact that is our history. letting honey badger walk gave me hope, but alas it was a false hope. kolb, plummer dansby ….the list goes on and on. over paying is what we do.

We have no choice with this coaching staff. Who knows when they are going to replace Mike McCoy but they probably aren't going to fire Wilks.

Having a young QB on his rookie salary is the biggest advantage one can get these days.
If not in playoff contention, which we won't be, you have to start him after the bye week AT THE LATEST. Give him reps, experience and see what he's got.
Don't wait with that until 2019 and waste an entire year of his cheap rookie deal.
Also: The Broncos realized their huge mistake and fired OC McCoy midway through last season. Can we do the same please?

It almost feels like they are asking Bradford to keep the playbook super simple for a new Oline and rookie WR2, until they get that simple playbook down pat, in order to hand the reins over to a rookie QBOF when they feel he’s ready to run it...all while putting themselves in a position to maximize draft position next year. Who are the top Oline and Dline FA and draft candidates in 2019?
