Looking at how they fared in preseason...
#1 Baker Mayfield - Only 1 game but he looked great out there. Deadly accurate. Incredibly calm and composed. Hes going to be a very good QB in the NFL. Browns finally found their QB.
#3 Sam Darnold - TBD
#7 Josh Allen - Really bad debut. Logan Thomas 2.0. He overthrew his receivers countless times. All cannon, zero touch. Hes a bust 5 minutes into his NFL career. We were saved by Buffalo.
#10 Josh Rosen - TBD
#32 Lamar Jackson - Exactly what you expected. Struggles with throwing it, so he tries to run. But NFL players are fast so theres no more 50 yard sprints like in college. Not looking good.
So far everything is going according to plan. Baker was always good, its why he went #1 and hes showing it now. The other two busts are failing because of the flaws we already knew about. Will wait to see Darnold and Rosen.

It's the first preseason game.... verdict is still out on all the qb's for a couple seasons still. Im not sold on Mayfield after one preseason game although his highlights and stats were good. He is the qb I wanted us to get most pre-draft though. Im excited to see Rosen in action.

Mayfield looked very good. I'm wasn't a Mayfield fan but what stood out to me was he played with great tempo and wasn't at all rattled by the speed of the game. He played against scrubs in a game that doesn't count but if you compared him to Webb for the Giants who was in the same situation it was really obvious. Webb has been on the Giants for a few years. He looked completely out of sorts by the speed of the game. The guy is tall and has a great arm but he was so late in his decision making he couldn't hit the side of a barn.
The pre-season has to be discounted but what stood out to me about Mayfield was his immediate comfort with the speed of the pro game. If Josh Gordon makes it back the Browns could have a devastating passing attack.
Looking forward to watching Darnold tonight and Rosen tomorrow night.

Mayfield is a stud. Never doubted for a second that Cleveland (FINALLY) made the right choice. He'll sit for a while but he's going to be a star. Got a strong, accurate arm, moves well enough within the pocket, has tns of heart and grit, and is extremely accurate.
Cleveland hit a grand slam.
I was never an Allen fan, no matter what anyone says you cannot teach accuracy at this stage of life.
LOVE Darnold. He's young though so I think it's best he sits but the Jets REALLY want to start him week 1 so we shall see. Hopefully they don't ruin the kid.
Jackson is a flash in the pan. He'll run around and get folks excited like he did on his TD last night but once he is the starter, which will be 2019 at the latest, he's RG4.

About what I expected. There were only 3 QB I wanted out of this draft. Mayfield, Rosen, and Rudolph. My first choice was Mayfield. You just don't do what he did for 2 years at any level of college ball. Sure the old big 8 didn't have the SEC type defenses, but you still have to throw the ball and be accurate. Which he was. Over 70 % his last two year. He had every stat needed to go #1 to a QB needy team. The only stat he didn't have was his height. All the rest he was either 1st or 2nd, and the 1st were by quite a bit.
Sometimes I think these teams get too caught up in measurable. He is to short, or to slow etc. They don't look at the player and see what he really did against his competition. Wouldn't surprise me any if both Mayfield and Rosen both turn out to be stars. The rest. Their teams will be shopping for another new QB in 3 years. I'm just so glad Buffalo drafted Allen and he was gone before the Cards turn to pick. Might have dodged a BIG bullet by that move.

I watched like the first series of the San Fran game and Jimmy G didn't look all that sharp either.

Josh Allen is certainly a very raw prospect, but if you watch you can see why teams were intrigued by him.
Not comparing Josh Allen to Aaron Rodgers at all, but I just want to tell people to pump the brakes on the labeling process. Just look at how raw Aaron Rodgers looked in his first NFL preseason.

Cardinals apparently had a deal with the Broncos to take Allen and it fell through.
All I know is Darnold will be a bust because he's from USC.

Agree with what has been said, harsh to proclaim anyone is a bust or if they pick has knocked it out the park. Blaine Gabbert tore it up in pre-season last year.

Labeling guys busts after 1 preseason game... Only Allen. He was an NFL bust before he ever got on the plane to leave Wyoming. The others can all determine their own fates. All were very good in college (unlike Allen whos never been good at football). I think rosen coming from a pro style offense gives him a major edge. But you never know. Look at Baker, who at Oklahoma played in the most gadgety video game BS offense in all of football....yet he looked very comfortable running the pro offense last night. So, you never know.
