I didnt say it as fact, I said "I think" and I do think he wouldve been outstanding with the starters. If you pick apart snap by snap, there was 2 drops where he delivered a perfect ball. Virtually every snap he was under pressure. And Munyer, no more needs to be said.

No, it was not a good outting. But all things considered, I thought he showed more good than not.

That's fair. I was happy he didn't get hurt.

Using some of the logic I have seen here, John Elway would have been listed as a bust and Logan Thomas the next Big Ben. Elway had a horrible first game (and first season) while Thomas looked pretty good. Let's just wait and see. Way too early to make any decisions on the quality of any particular QB. Having said that, I will say the Mayfield did show excellent promise with some of his throws; placement and accuracy were at an NFL level.

We might have a pretty good idea following the Bills next preseason game if Josh Allen will be relied on to be the starting qb with McCarron out. It makes things more interesting and more fun... will he be able to stand the heat?
