Imagine thinking preseason means proving anything in terms of being able to play at the NFL level. 11 of 12 passes for 113 yards and one touchdown. Anybody wanna guess which Hall of Famer put up this stat line in his 1st preseason start? No idea but there have been tons of scrubs who have put up big numbers in pre-season. There have been scrubs who have put up very good numbers in real games until other teams started looking at tape and adjusting. The NFL is a league of adjustments. In the grand scheme of things pre-season doesn't mean much. It's essentially a scrimmage. Still it's nice to get a chance to see your top prospects perform well. It's good to get excited about your players and team even if the hope is turned to tears in the chill of late October.

Rosen reminds me the most of several good pros as does Mayfield. Mayfield more the Russell Wilson, Rosen more the Rodgers, Manning type. That's why these two qbs were good picks. We're going to find out who can play through time. You basically draft what you compared them to and hope they become it.

Anybody wanna guess which Hall of Famer put up this stat line in his 1st preseason start? Haha, did he have a receiving touchdown for the Bills last year? Baker really did look great the other night, I wanted him because he plays with that fire, and it looked like that might be why the speed of the game didn’t seem to phase him at all. Of course, it is only preseason. But I am definitely hoping Rosen backs up how words tonight!

True. Baker and Darnold looked outstanding. Time to put up. Truth be told, I never wanted Rosen. I was huge Baker fan. 2nd pick would be Darnold. Both of them were just special QBs to me. And they are proving it now. But we selected Rosen, so im supporting him as a Cards fan should. But he never should have made that comment. Rosen is in fact not as good as Baker or Darnold. So its going to be interesting if he flops Saturday wow. One preseason game in and they are "proving it". Lets see what happens when the real games begin. And doing poorly in your first preseason game means little as a first year QB. proving =/=proven They are proving it. Every time they go out and play well, that is the process of proving. To say "its just pre season" is irrelevant. Its football. No INTs. Full of completions and TDs and good touch throws. Playing well is always preferable to not playing well, in any scenario.

Impossible the judge Rosen after that game. I actually thought he played good considering that Levi Brown-esque OL he was behind.
GOOD.GRACIOUS. That 2nd team OL might be the worst collection of pro athletes ive seen in my life.
I think if Rosen had the starter OL, he wouldve been outstanding.

Rosen should play with the first string once he deserves it.
Right now Sam has the job, rightfully so.
Kanoff made the make shift line look passable.
Good to have pressure on Rosen in camp, Kanoff will provide such pressure...or so it seems.
This game should wake both rookie QB's up. Game on.
Glennon looked bad.

Rosen looked like he should have looked behind that oline and club handed receivers...no biggy...what is alarming to me is how fragile josh looks when when surrounded by the Real beasts of the NFL............i found it unnerving ,,,put josh on the back burner till we compile some kind of depth at the oline......this could be the quickest 3 QB killings in the history of the NFL.......all our QB look like you could snap them with a flick of the finger

Rosen didn't look good and got lucky on what should have been a pick six. And yes, his offensive line was horrible

Kanoff made that back up O-line look decent with his good play. For a UFA he's a keeper so far.
Rosen was handcuffed by bad C and RG play. Got a taste though of real NFL pressure. Now to use that to learn and grow.
Glennon plain out suxs. Yuck! Put him on the short bus to wherever Rimrock lives. Illinois already threw him out once already. We Don't want him back!

Although until he actually is running competent O and actually doing it saying he would've been outstanding is pure hyperbole. I would be nice to see him get a chance.

I didnt say it as fact, I said "I think" and I do think he wouldve been outstanding with the starters. If you pick apart snap by snap, there was 2 drops where he delivered a perfect ball. Virtually every snap he was under pressure. And Munyer, no more needs to be said. No, it was not a good outting. But all things considered, I thought he showed more good than not.
