I’d be curious if they have a way to diagnose revs per second because my eyes were saying Josh’s ball was spinning tight and faster than Bradford or Glennon. Could be that Bradford was chillin or Rosen was amped up so I don’t know but yesterday it wasn’t close. Rosen throws a very clean ball.

We went to the open practice today and was a part of a special engagement with guest speakers Michael Bidwill and Steve Wilks. First, I walked away from today very impressed with the way Michael handled the question and answer period. He wanted to address the elephant in the room (Steve Keim). Other than that, he was excited about this year and I felt like he was just talking with the guys! Second, I originally wasn’t that impressed with the Steve Wilks hiring. I thought he could be qualified but communication and delivery was rehearsed to me. Well today, not so much. He was very impressive and I enjoyed the opportunity to hear him unscripted. He has changed my mind so far. Let’s hope he can be a great coach. Lastly, we are only going to be as good as we can by staying healthy. Bradford in my opinion showed he was a more prepared QB over Rosen. Don’t get me wrong, I am very excited about Rosen being our guy for the future and he can really spin the ball better than any of the QBs but he isn’t ready. There were times during passing plays that he showed hesitation and was late on throws (one being intercepted by a great play by Ford I think). It seemed like he took too long going through progressions and he stared down his first or second option. I’d be interested if others felt the same way about Rosen. Not sure if I was being too critical or my expectations for him were too high. Like I said, he can spin the ball and I’m excited about his future if he gets his opportunity next year or the year after. I would, as would any NFL evaluator, respectfully disagree with this comment. in fact I will tell you that you can count on 2-3 FINGERS how many, IF ANY NFL QB's can "spin it " better than Sam Bradford. His one and ONLY issue is health. He is light years better than any QB on this roster, period. And his arm is in the top 3-4 in the league, and I am being generous. You need to keep commentary like this to yourself as the Bradford detractors will now come out in force to tell you that your a clueless knucklehead. None are willing to see what he does as a Cardinal and all of them would rather he be taken out behind the training facility and put down like a gimpy race horse. It's ridiculous.

yes ves same way they do in baseball. the laces can be used to count the revs and you know exactly how man frames per second the camera shoots. you can also judge velocity and loss of velocity. the laces will make the ball "flash" every revolution so you just count the flashes where the ball appears whiter because of the white laces for how ever many frames a video camera takes per second. the flash should occur and equal number of frames apart. if its random then the camera is not fast enough and you are missing revs but if you can get high quality video you can up load it in any movie editing program that allows frame by frame viewing and count the times the laces appear per second. I know virtual dub can do it for free and windows media player or vim might even be able to.

Yes sadly I have seen it already on this board and I just chuckle. Sam Bradford was not only the first overall in 2010 but, had he come out of OU in 2009 after winning the Heisman like he should have it has widely been talked about that Bradford, not Stafford would have been the Lions pick in 09'. Rosen has good skills don't get me wrong but compared to Bradford all other QB's on this roster pale.
Zach Ertz on Bradford's arm strength: Eagles newly acquired quarterback Sam Bradford isn’t even at full strength and he’s already impressing the Eagles receivers. 3rd year tight end Zach Ertz has been working out with Bradford and he told Derrick Gunn and Reuben Frank on their Quick Slants Show on Comcast Sportsnet that Bradford has a stronger arm than any quarterback he’s ever played with and that includes Nick Foles, Michael Vick, and Andrew Luck.
“We’ve been throwing for the past three weeks and I can honestly say I’ve thrown with Andrew, Nick and other guys, and I don’t think I’ve thrown with a guy who has a stronger arm than Sam Bradford,” Ertz said.
“He hasn’t been able to really truly get his full legs underneath him. But the ball still comes out effortlessly, and it’s a lot of fun to run routes with him.”
Every throw week 1 2017: - Just watch the arm strength, arm angles, roll outs, accuracy AND BALL PLACEMENT.

Josh is showing a lot of polish and smarts for a rookie. Josh may not start right away in 2018 or 2019, but when he does start, he will be a natural leader. Meanwhile, we all want Sam to do well while Josh learns to be a great b/u.

So you did NOT watch the game video I posted? That's fine.
Oh, and then there is this... "Bradford’s rating of 87.7 was second to only Green Bay Packers’ Aaron Rodgers’ 93.8. Next on the list were some of the NFL’s best: Matt Ryan, Russell Wilson and Tom Brady."
I always wonder how posters feel when they say untruths and then are confronted with facts.

about using video to calculate revs and velocity on balls.

I wouldn't know...watch ALL of his tape...count how many times he threw a checkdown for 4 yards when it was 3rd and 10(for example)...thus the high completion % and qb rating.

Getting back to training camp...
It sounds like they were running a lot of two back sets today with the fullback up front. Wilks also threw in some one on one drills in front of everyone, such as Chandler Jones vs Humphries. Lots of emphasis on physicality and beating your guy on the other side of the line.

I wouldn't put much in the one on ones. there is a reason 1st string offense practices against 2nd string defense and vice versa. you don't get the same level of competition nor do you get the same level of injuries. it doesn't matter how good a player could have gotten once they are sitting on injured reserve for the rest of the season. if wilks is putting alpha on alpha in practice and not saving that for real games and someone gets injured their salary should come out of his salary.
chuck nole made that mistake one year in pittsburg one time to toughen up the team because he didn't like the lact of effort in practice. one hour and 5 injuries later he was looking at enough potential losses he was on the hot seat. he never made that mistake again and would have been fired for it. and that's back when the good players could make a million dollars in a career, not when scrubs make millions a season. with the money that is at risk today wilks head coaching career may be very short.

Wasn't this a practice without pads, not full-on hitting? If in full game gear then I can agree, but otherwise not so much. I was not there so must ask . . .
