For people who don't think this isn't sufficient punishment: Keim isn't out of the woods yet. If you truly think he's a functioning alcoholic, he'll fail his classes during this 5 week suspension and will not return to the Cardinals. If he does pass those classes, then that means he will have to have shown actual improvement and genuine remorse. Either way we will win.

County jail hits a big man very hard in many ways. Maybe we should set up an online food fund for SK and delivery pizzas and pops for his crew. SK will probably loose 30 pounds after eating the jail "loaf" for a few days.

i think he is only gonna be there for 48 hrs(if that)...rules are lil different for rich people Yep he will be there for 2 days and than on house arrest for a week. Followed by a device on his vehicle for the next year that he has to blow into every time he gets behind the wheel. There are ways to get around the system by having someone else blow in it for you but not a wise choice if he does circumvent.

So, he gets out of the slammer on Friday morning? Not bad deal for a .193 puff. He'll probably head straight to the golf course and hits some balls tomorrow morning. Maybe have someone drive him. I would do both.

Not sure how poor white boys has it rougher then SK because that is the usual punishment for first time dui offenders in the state of Arizona. It's two to thirty day's for your first extreme Dui offense and eligible for home arrest after 48 hrs also his first offense don't count if it's from a another state or if it's been longer then 84 months. If you don't have a home well then that is up to the Judge's decision.

The whole SK story beginning July 4th should scare the bejezzus out of sots that drink and drive.

I would do both. It wasn't a puff but from his blood sample. And being under house arrest for a week there will be no golfing either.
There will be some soul searching with/from the Mrs. though.

The fine is to light it should be in the millions. This is a send a message type of moment here. If they’re not firing him which Bidwill should.

most people can go to and from work for 12 hours a day. But since SK is suspended from the cardinals maybe he does indeed have house arrest.

J, thanks for the correction. Thought he blew the .193 vice donated cc's of serum. Guess I don't understand a DUI 'house arrest'. I never experienced either. Thought house arrest meant being monitored by a PO 24/7 and going about one's business per Court orders. Mr. K might benefit from Mrs. K's lip and scowl. There's also the 'honey do' list to work down. LOL.

This is contrary to what all the pundits and people intimately familiar with the level of punishment and fines for an offense like this are saying. Basically they say the punishment was swift, proportional and appropriate given the circumstances and that the Cardinals could not be accused of "double standards" when it comes to how they handled SK's situation.

Do you think there is a chance that domestic friction could also be one reason for SK frequenting places of "refuge and solace" (booze, food and NO lip or scowl)?
Not saying that is the case, just trying to cover all the angles. 5 kids, spending considerable time away from home when not a job requirement = staying together for the sake of the kids? Or maybe the Mrs. is often away with the kids visiting Grandma? (How's that for gossip promotion?)

i think he is only gonna be there for 48 hrs(if that)...rules are lil different for rich people You can say that again. All my life I heard how AZ had the harshest DUI laws in the U.S. The original Tent City was built because of DUIs. But if youre rich and famous, and get an extreme DUI? Ha! Practically J walking. I need to hurry up and get wealthy so I can be above the law too
