Rams are dummies giving that kind of money. But they are going for it NOW and dealing with a bad cap later. As for DJ he has zero leverage. He forfeits one year of UFA if he continued to hold out past a certain point. Cards should just let it all play out unless he wants to give them a team friendly/cap friendly offer that benefits both sides. I know many are yelling "pay him" and then the same ones will be crying when we have no cap space. Swear fans love saving their team's billionaire owners money.LOL Owners get free stadiums paid by the tax payers yet people always side with them when the players are putting their lifes on the line.smh

Fact is David Johnson is the best player on offense. All due respect to Fitz ofcourse lol.He like Fitz are A-class citizens and are quality role models. With all the crap the Cardinals are going through I thought this would be done by now honestly. He deserves it.Hes earned it.

Flip flopper! You are all right, ok. Lol I think that’s my 4th flip/flop, business is business. Bringing in Boston had to eat up a good bit of the cap space available I still enjoy the ability to talk to other cardinal fans.. Thanks! Tre Boston's contract only "ate up" 1.75 Mil of the Cap. Still have 12.7 mil left according to Spotrac.

Be smart about cap space. Be ruthless about cap space and players ala NE Patriots. No matter what DJ is a millionaire. Nobody needs to feel sorry for the guy. Children in the US are going to bed hungry every night.

He "deserves" to play out his contract that he signed in good faith if the two sides cant reach an agreement that benefits both parties. Sometimes the player has the leverage like Larry did when his initial contract was up. Now the Cards do and they deserve to do whatever benefits them the most.

WR take less punishment than RBs..and career longer.DJ knows this his only big pay day. "good faith"lol..sure Tyrann had good faith about his contract.

Interesting you bring up HB. totally unnecessary for the Cards to give him this contract coming off a second ACL tear. Dummies. Hope they learned their lesson. DJ may know this or that but he has zero leverage. he cant sit out or he loses one year of FA eligibility and every day he misses camp it's 40G. He's got to prove himself every year for the next three years to earn his money. By then he will be thirty and nobody will want him albeit in a backup role if his body can take it.

DJ has already said it's in the Cars and his agents hands. He's ready to play and show he's better than 2016 David was. So why are you rehashing what has already been settled?

I have won as many superbowl rings as fitz and dj combined. where are my millions? it makes as much sense as giving fitz or dj big money when they never earned it either.

Nothing has been settled. Not in the least. DJ is in camp because he knows he cant afford not to be. But he still wants that contract done. The cards have to stick to understanding they don't need to give him one. DJ will be unhappy about it and continue to play well I have no doubt. But lets not kid anyone , this is part of a distraction that exist on many levels on teams. It's not solved by throwing money at players when you don't have to.
