QB Murray and WR Harrison lacked communication during the AZ @ GB game. Their feuding broke into the open during a pre-snap and then again immediately before Harrison tried to make a catch on a bad throw and was sandwiched between two defenders, kicked in the head by a thigh pad, and concussed. At an interview long after the game, Murray said the communication is fixed. Harrison might come out of concussion protocol by MNF.
My concern is why this QB-to-WR comms issue is happening in the second quarter of game 5. Don't these two guys talk to each other mid-week? What the hell is going on again in the locker room and on the practice field? The coaches also need to step up and do their jobs. These are grown men, not little kids.
I need Murray to act like a leader. Harrison needs Murray to act like a leader. Or the team is screwed.

It seems to be a FAILED hire. Most people get a 3 month probationary period if they hire on for a new job. I know that varies, but I don’t have much confidence in the idea of continuing For year after year trying to drive a square peg into a round hole. Maybe a bigger hammer would help? I can see that the rainy, windy conditions could hamper him, as I would imagine there is fear playing into the equation. He did not want to run at GB. I don’t think he plays well unless he can run at will w/o fear of a knee or other injury. We’re in YEAR SIX, and that is a LONG time to master the job.
He hasn’t.

I think Kyler is done in THIS organization. New regime will keep him on unless a trade just blows Monty away re: cap space, futures. Murray's cap hit starts to lessen next year freeing up even more money for the Brass to start utilizing for a proper rebuild. I'll admit I was wrong about K1. There's just no consistency with his play from week to week.
It's time for Ossenfort to find his own quarterback that he can live or die with (Job security wise)
and let the organization re-start with Monty's own drafted/ developed QB. At some point Bidwill needs to let Ossenfort cook and come to the realization that the Murray extension was ridiculous that early in K1's career. Kyler has talent, no doubt, but pressure between the tackles is his downfall. I hate to admit it BUT a taller QB would mean quicker reads over more field vision.
I voted number #3 option... will not finish his contract out.
I will say this, Kyler's success under this new regime is because of Hjalte Froholdt and PJ Jr. Those guys are golden moving forward even with Froholdt's age. Froholdt has been GREAT! Monty, resign this guy until he's ready to retire!
There will definitely be change... Cardinals maybe win 6 games.

I need Murray to act like a leader. Harrison needs Murray to act like a leader. Or the team is screwed. Not all fantasy combos work…I remember the Murray/Fitzgerald combo never took off. In fact, Fitz became a non-factor even not seen or thrown to at times when he was wide open…over the middle of course…and off to retirement he went. I vaguely remember him saying after retirement that the organization gave to much to their young franchise QB…before he earned it…🤔 Now there’s no doubt that DHOP/Murray worked…but the problem with that combo was that was the only WR that KM would look at or look for when he dropped back…and that created a predictable passing route tree. So…not all combos work…but it’s really up to your QB to make it work…both at practice…and on and off the field.

KM needs to get back to playing football and not be playing scared. I hate to say it but that is what it looks like to me. He lacks leadership and killer instinct just to make matters worse.

Not sure at this point anyone will trade for Kyler, I think the cardinals will have to eat the loss and release him. You look at Darnold and Mayfield well you kind of scratch your head but at this point I believe KM is his own worse enemy, if he could fight through the chin down defeated look when things don't go as planned early on maybe he could work out of it but he looks so defeated early in games. it doesn't seem to improve in most cases as the game goes on either.

Rbf62, I have no problem with his side line demeanor. He definitley has matured, imo, with his post game pressers. He's taking accountability for losses and poor QB play. There's definitley growth there. I hate to say it but there is just not enough field being seen by Murray in the pocket. He's just too damn short. The passing game under Petzig is not efficient at all after 6 weeks. I think Petzig's play calls are a huge problem on crucial down and distances especially after the 1st quarter play script has expired. Kyler, to his credit, has not complained once about Petzig's play calls in any post game interview including blow outs v. Commanders and Packers. Murray continues to push a positive message about getting better, and working harder. K1's maturity has reached a new height unfortunately, his physical status will never reach the height needed to see the entire field. I'll root for Murray as long as he plays in the NFL.

I remember NativeAZ stating that Murray was the best QB in the NFL. Native took a lot of heat from members, including me, for his slavish adoration of Murray. NativeAZ has since moved on. Murray continues to toil for the Cardinals. And most members continue to hope for the game where Murray finally puts it all together and learns how to lead and win every Sunday. As RB62 mentions, Murray has definitely matured and accepted responsibility for his role in each loss at the pressers. Acceptance is a hard thing to do for a young man and harder for Murray since he was so used to winning prior to becoming a pro. I still think that Murray can succeed in the NFL. Shorter QBs on average have been "occasional winners" in the NFL, or at least left a lasting impression on NFL fans due to their extraordinary skills. Remember Fran Tarkenton? Perhaps the day will come when Murray does move on and become a QB for another NFL team. Maybe he will sync up with the offense and do wonderful things each Sunday. It would be great if he could first do that wonderful thing for the Cardinals and become the winner we all want.

KM1 is much easier to trade in 2026 and so he is staying until then when he can be traded and save $36M on cap in '26. After watching the college games on Saturday, the draft stocks of Milroe, Ewers and Beck are falling leaving Sanders, Ward and Allar as potential 1st round picks at QB. Depending on what happens in the rest of 2024, the coaching regime probably survives (some changes in position coaches like WR and LB) with a mandate for 2025 to team make playoffs or firings occur. By then the team could quit on both JG and KM1 which will put the Cardinals in the Arch Manning sweepstakes.
We'll see what happens this week as Chargers probably won't have Bosa and they have injuries in their secondary. Pressure is mounting on Petzing to figure out more motion and innovation in his offense. If KM1 and MHJ could figure out their communication on routes, the offense could still turnaround and at least produce 21+ points per game. The Cardinals must go 2-2 in the next four games (11th week is a bye) to have a prayer of turning this season around and maybe after the bye Jonah Williams will return at RT helping the offense. For right now, the guaranteed $$ plays are those designed to McBride and Chargers do not cover TE's well.
NOTE: Yesterday I watched the Indiana QB complete back shoulder fade passes every time with their receivers making good catches on pinpoint throws. The new coach at Indiana makes back shoulder passes a priority in practices because they are extremely hard to stop (and they setup stutter and go routes later in game) -- so it is very puzzling how two (2) top 4 picks in the NFL can't figure this out.

Anyone thinking QB Deshaun Watson might be available if the Browns cut him after the 2024 season should think twice. Watson was injured on Sunday, October 21st. The Browns organization believes Watson suffered a torn Achilles tendon. The IR list is likely next for Watson.
I found this information regarding Achilles tendon recovery timelines:
"The duration required for healing from an Achilles tendon injury varies depending on factors such as the severity of the injury, the individual's overall health, and the treatment approach chosen. In cases of minor strains or tendonitis, healing may occur within a few weeks with conservative measures like rest, ice, compression, elevation (RICE), and physical therapy. Typically, individuals can resume normal activities within 4 to 6 weeks with appropriate treatment and rehabilitation. Moderate injuries, such as partial tears, may necessitate a longer recovery period of 3 to 6 months, involving immobilization with a cast or walking boot, physical therapy, and activity modification. For severe injuries like complete ruptures, surgical intervention followed by immobilization and rehabilitation is often required. Recovery from surgical repair can take 6 months to a year or more, depending on the individual's progress and adherence to rehabilitation protocols. Factors like age, overall health, and lifestyle may also impact the healing process, underscoring the importance of a personalized treatment plan tailored to individual needs."

Before the injury he has not looked good this year. Not at all. Kyler has thrown for 50 yards more per game than Watson, with a higher completion percentage, and has 8 pass TDs to 2 INTs, where Watson has 5 TDs and 3 INTs. Plus Murray is the better runner. Watson is nothing more than a backup any more IMO. Age has caught him.

Watson is probably finished now.

I'm a stubborn ole fool, but I like our QB...body language is not great, but sometimes I think 'we' read too much into that...I coached a baseball player that had poor body language when things not going well, and he is getting paid to play now (minors)... K1 is 3rd in NFL rushing among QBs, 5th in total QBR...
