I'm a stubborn ole fool, but I like our QB...body language is not great, but sometimes I think 'we' read too much into that...I coached a baseball player that had poor body language when things not going well, and he is getting paid to play now (minors)... K1 is 3rd in NFL rushing among QBs, 5th in total QBR... I'm more concerned about our back ups than I am about Kyler. If Kyler goes down again our season is really screwed. At least we have a chance with him.

If Kyler goes down again our season is really screwed. At least we have a chance with him. Yeah, he's our only chance to compete, now. BUT: Since Ridder is gone, that leaves Tune alone as a backup. He might do OK with more game experience, or not. But we have been in trouble before when our #1 QB went down and #2 followed shortly thereafter. We don't seem to learn that a GOOD alternate QB or two can be season savers. Picking up someone 'off the street' just doesn't work. We proved that with Lindley (sp). Remember that? Or more recently with Dobbs. Bless them both for trying in a difficult situation... IMHO

I'm not saying he was a bonified starter, but if you needed someone to come in cold, he was great, it just didn't last that long....but that win against the Cowboys was epic. Many have said we should draft a QB every year even if it's the later rounds. I agree. We did that with Tune, but so far, he may not be all that good. But that's ok. The Saints drafted Spencer Rattler in the late rounds....he may be a keeper. The point is, always bring in competition. Some may well be nothing, but others may surprise. Sencer Rattler was well worth his 5th round draft spot. I wished the hell we would have drafted him.

I thought Dobbs did good under the circumstances and would have continued to improve with more time under less urgent circumstances. I wouldn't even mind if they brought him back in a back up role. The veteran QB I was hoping the Cards had brought in as a back up before Ridder was Tyrod Taylor.

Trade KM for Herbert km would do better with Harbaugh and the gunslinger would do better here in Arizona.

Trade KM for Herbert km would do better with Harbaugh and the gunslinger would do better here in Arizona. Nope not right time for something that drastic.

At least Dobbs earned himself tv commercials as the backup husband to hang pictures on the wall. I liked Dobbs, too. He did best when winging it immediately after he arrived, and BEFORE he studied the playbook. And IIRC he did the same after going to the Vikings. That tells me that he is a great improvisor with good instincts, but when he is given scripted plays it kills his natural responses to in-game situations. He has the ability built in, but so far no OC has tapped/adapted to it. And I like that commercial on TV. A little extra money won't ruin him, and could open more doors besides aerospace.

We are debating amongst ourselves about Murray's capacity to lead the Arizona Cardinals to victories. I have doubts about his physical and mental consistency to lead. Last night's FG for a win did not move me to reconsider Murray's team leadership. Murray was 14/26 for 145 yards, 1 TD, and 1 INT. Passes avg'd 5.6 yds. QBR 78.5. Those are not bragging numbers.
Let's put winning aside and consider another leadership issue. Is Murray a problem for Harrison? Do they communicate when not forced to do so? A week ago, after the GB debacle, Murray said their comms was fixed. I would argue that these two men might not like each other. A person might conclude that Murray is ruining Harrison.
Another question: who is Harrison's foxhole buddy on the team? This would be someone Harrison would trust with his life. Someone he can open up with. A tough GF is an option. I want to put those questions on the table for members to consider. Harrison needs head therapy.
Many physically gifted rookie WRs have struggled through NFL year one. Some WRs did not survive the mental pressures and had to move on. If Harrison was on another NFL team, one with a balanced offense that is a scoring machine, would Harrison still drop easy passes and not be re-targeted after repeated failures? Nobody is coddled in the NFL.

Dobbs? Really? Freaking Dobbs? ππ³π Nobody is saying get him again, only that he was a likeable guy who started out great, but could not maintain it. He's currently SFO 49ers third in line, with a 4th guy on their PS.

I'm thinking a mid-round compensation pick gifted to us next spring, unless the cardinals sign a b/u 3rd QB off some team's dead man roster in the next couple weeks.
