CJ Stroud is going to beat Trevor Lawrence. Catastrophic. 😤 The kid is pretty good and he doing it with most of his oline out.

CJ Stroud is going to beat Trevor Lawrence. Catastrophic. 😤 Stroud having a good day is what 1st round draft pick QBs do once in a while. By the way, in my book of wisdom, a catastrophe is Murray destroying his right knee without anyone touching him! Today's Texans win doesn't mean crap with 14 games to go. Recommend everybody take a big chill-pill. Heck, the Cardinals might also win today. That's also not a catastrophe. You may also want to realize that Stroud is actually pretty legit and as I mentioned after week one, he on his own, is good for a few victories.

He is, but his supporting cast isn't as bad as one might think. Honestly, I think he's got more to work with than Dobbs does. Defensively, they definitely seem to have more talent. Not saying they are better coached, but on paper, they have a solid mix of young capable players. He's got Dalton Shultz at TE and 3 serviceable WR's. His line isn't awful. RB isn't too impressive. Defense doesn't have a ton of flash but there's some talent there. And I certainly expect Will Anderson to improve by midseason. I'm questioning the Josh Jones trade more and more.

Looking at that list, I think 6 is the best we can hope for, and that spot 7 is the most likely.

Our pick from the Texans will not be a top 5 pick as many had predicted in the off-season.
I see us and the Texans winning 6 to 8 games each. That puts our two first round picks at about between #6-#8.

Texans look pretty good esp with their QB. Probably trending as a mid first rounder.
As far as the Cardinals it's really up in the air. The Bears look pretty clear cut #1 right now, everything else will depend on injuries and how close games play out. It's a long season.

So many one win teams in there it's really hard to break that down right now.

So many one win teams in there it's really hard to break that down right now. Yeah. It's still way too early. People were busy gushing over the 1st and 2nd pick 4 weeks ago. It makes the same amount of sense to think that we're picking at the current projection. Let's play some games first

And now the Bears get their first win, and Fields looks amazing for a day.
The bottom teams are definitely not sorted out yet. I think 10 teams have one win or less.

We are all Atlanta fans today!
I’d also like to see Carolina get a win, and Colts to beat the Titans.

We are all Atlanta fans today! I’d also like to see Carolina get a win, and Colts to beat the Titans. I refuse to be molded as a fan by outside noise. This season early was a great opportunity to sport Card gear and hear all the band wagon NFL fans around harass me for my choice in team to be a fan of. Personally I never bought into tanking or expecting top pick or top five pick. One of the downsides of top 5 picks is the cost of their rookie contract is huge along with their ego. K1 has been very good for Cards and also demanded much to keep happy…which led to much fan upheaval and now those same fans want two top five picks…ironic to say the least. This is not a knock on you DryHeat…you are one of the more sane members(I do not hold that against you.LOL). One thing I am being reminded of this season is: I don’t care about the name on the back of the jersey, I just want the team to perform well. To go along with that: I don’t really care what the draft position is, I want several picks to increase the odds of hits and I want players who are drafted to stick and perform well. Maybe even want a second contract without a king’s ransom. I am still holding to a minimum of 7 wins in 2023. The Cards are still a one win team and have the opportunity to be in the bottom five for wins in 2023, but I am hoping for a different result. It would be nice if the Texan’s pick was high, but as long as that pick turns to a talented player who can contribute…then it will be a great value. As I write this JJ Watt picks the Cards over the Bengals.
