We are all Atlanta fans today! I’d also like to see Carolina get a win, and Colts to beat the Titans. I refuse to be molded as a fan by outside noise. This season early was a great opportunity to sport Card gear and hear all the band wagon NFL fans around harass me for my choice in team to be a fan of. Personally I never bought into tanking or expecting top pick or top five pick. One of the downsides of top 5 picks is the cost of their rookie contract is huge along with their ego. K1 has been very good for Cards and also demanded much to keep happy…which led to much fan upheaval and now those same fans want two top five picks…ironic to say the least. This is not a knock on you DryHeat…you are one of the more sane members(I do not hold that against you.LOL). One thing I am being reminded of this season is: I don’t care about the name on the back of the jersey, I just want the team to perform well. To go along with that: I don’t really care what the draft position is, I want several picks to increase the odds of hits and I want players who are drafted to stick and perform well. Maybe even want a second contract without a king’s ransom. I am still holding to a minimum of 7 wins in 2023. The Cards are still a one win team and have the opportunity to be in the bottom five for wins in 2023, but I am hoping for a different result. It would be nice if the Texan’s pick was high, but as long as that pick turns to a talented player who can contribute…then it will be a great value. As I write this JJ Watt picks the Cards over the Bengals. That’s fair. I want the Cardinals to win regardless of draft position for our original pick. But I want the Houston 1st and 3rd to be as good as possible. Titan’s 3rd as well.

Falcons are in the Red Zone. Might be able to secure the lead and secure a loss for our pick

Stroud led a comeback at the end of the 4th and took the lead with 1:44 left, but Atlanta went right down the field and won it with a FG.
Titans lost as well.

Draft pick games of interest tomorrow:
Most importantly, Houston plays New Orleans in the early games, and Tenn will be playing Baltimore overseas, so we will know those results before we are on the field for the afternoon games. Houston might easily get another win here.
Other games to watch in the race to the bottom? Either the 1-4 Bears or 1-4 Vikings will one up each other. Carolina has no chance other than the “any given Sunday” chance of beating Miami. New England might squeak a win vs the Raiders, but they look pretty awful. Was it really Brady and not coaching that made the Pats so good for so long? Finally, the Giants play Buffalo, so likely remain at 1 win.
We can take the Rams. I know we can. Let’s go Cards!

Until RB Conner returns from IR, which is after at least 4 weeks rest and treatment, I don't see any wins happening for the Cardinals.
Not on the schedule -- but I doubt the Cardinals could beat the woeful winless Panthers with the current 53-man active roster. That's really sad.

With the Texans, Titans and Carolina on their bye weeks, we still have some draft position relevant games to scoreboard watch.
Bears vs Raiders (go Bears), Patriots vs Bills (go Pats), and Giants vs Commanders (go Giants) in the early games. Broncos vs Packers at Mile High in the afternoon, where the Broncos might realistically get a win.
Cardinals can beat Seattle, but every opponent will be tough for us. Hey, ASU almost upset Washington last night. Any given Sunday.

Bears, Giants and Patriots…all one win teams…snag wins today! Falcons also won, and it looks like the Colts may win as well. All these wins help our draft position with Houston’s picks we own in the 1st and 3rd rounds, and the Titans pick in the 3rd. Considering both were on the bye, this is a good day for our extra 2024 draft picks.

So terrible and so promising at the same time. I’d really prefer we were where Houston is at .500 and they were the one win team.

Ok Cardinals fans, we aren’t cheering for any Cardinals losses here. This thread is about getting the best draft position we can out of the two Texans picks (1st and 3rd) and one Titans pick (3rd) in the 2024 draft. We want them to lose, and we want the rest of the teams above them to win.
Tomorrow, a very big “win” for us would be Carolina beating the Texans. The Bears own Carolina’s first rounder, so they have no reason to tank, and are desperate for their first win. They are currently the only team ahead of us in the race to the bottom for the first pick. More importantly, Houston would drop dramatically with a loss, as their record is similar to many teams but they have a weak strength of schedule. Go Carolina!
The Titans will be playing the 4-2 Falcons. Despite only having two wins, I think these teams are pretty equal in talent. Go Falcons!
Since the Texans are 3-3, I’m going to focus on 2 and 3 win teams we want to win. Vikings have 3 wins and Green Bay have 2, so one will get a win. Same situation in the Jets/Giants game. One of the 2 win Bears and Chargers get a win. Same for the Saints and Colts, who face each other with 3 wins each.
Finally, it would be nice for the 2 win Patriots to steal one from Miami or the 2 win Broncos to steal on from the Chiefs, but neither are likely to happen. Is Taylor Swift going to be at the game?

Houston up 7-6 at halftime. Carolina missed an XP Panthers 180 yds and the Texans only 103 total yds - YEA - Panthers kick FG now up 9-7.
