Vikings offer #11, #23 and 1st-rounder (2025)* - Total estimated value = 2510 - *(50% of #16 pick).
Cardinals give back #4 and 2nd-rounder (2025)* - Total estimated value - 2010 - *(50% of #48 pick).
'Quarterback levy' is thus 500 points in this example.
2nd trade proposal on our Poll ( Edited by FLCF)

Given the moves that the Vikings have already made...they have lost leverage and will have to concede to paying a hefty QB tax.
I like the Giants as a trade partner though...might still land Nabers or Odunze at that spot.

Today NFL.com put out its first 5 round draft. It has us trading #4 to Denver in exchange for #12 and Denver’s 2025 1st and 3rd. NOT ENOUGH! Our pick is worth 1800 and those three picks with the one round discount for next year picks is around 1700. A QB discount? NO!
If it’s Denver I want Surtain plus, or if no player a haul with #12, #76, and next year’s 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Not sure they even have those picks next year. Even that is only 2100 pts, a 300 pt qb tax. I’d actually want more to go all the way to 12.
BTW the nfl.com draft has us then trading with Atlanta back up to take Odunze at #8, giving up #12 plus our later 3rd and later 5th.

lets see if we get a member in on the Atlanta trade bandwagon.

Number 2 no lower then the 6th spot if we trade I think there is no trade if Qb's go 1 2 and 3.

Looks like everyone is mulling these options over like I am. Not an easy choice. I wouldn’t want to be Monti.

This is such a tough call for me. Two of my favorite players up for grabs plus #10 or #12? Surtain is only 23, Williams 26. Q just signed a massive contract last year and will be paid $15 million, 16 million, 21 million and 25 million the next 4 years. Two years straight a 90 PFF player…as good as it gets and a massive need for us. Yet corner is also a massive need. He is technically on his cheap 4th year but would want a top CB contract. The Jets are strapped for cap space and Denver is in the middle. Would either even do these trades?
I’m super tempted to do the Minn trade but #11 really puts us at risk of not landing one of the top WRs. Giants seems safe…almost too safe with little reward. I’ll vote by tonight.

When you run the simulated mocks and considering the Tier 1 athletes are in the top 10, the Vikings DO NEED to come up with 3 1st Rounders as their #11 & #23 get the Cardinals to pass on a Tier 1 athlete to get Tier 2 and Tier 3 athlete from the Vikings. I am in the camp in dealing with the Vikings, the deal must include 3 first rounders because #11 is just outside the Elite players and when they traded picks to get another 1st rounder, they should have been shopping in the #15- #18 area to entice Monti. #11 doesn't get you any of the 3 WR's nor the top OT nor Brock Bowers and #23 doesn't get you Brian Thomas Jr, or Byron Murphy, Jr. --- Sorry Vikes it is going to take 3 first rounders or ... SEE YA !!!

Here is an article that may be of interest, it's basically about the same thing. Cardinals Should Get Massive Trade for First Pick
I'm not making any predictions but if we can really get 3 #1's, I'm all for it. Maybe we would miss out on a supposedly generational player, but we will have 3 shots to get someone that might be close. With smart choices, maybe all three. I'm sure we won't see it live, but what I would give to be in the draft room when our #4 pick nears. Monti taking and making phone calls, who says what and ultimately what happens. Drama at its best....lol
