Start Bradford until he gets hurt or we are out of playoff hunt. History says we need extra QB's.

Doesn't surprise me.
Doesn't mean i agree with it.
The only time I'm playing Josh Rosen this year is after the bye week mid season.
If Bradford gets hurts any point before then, I'm playing Glennon and then giving Rosen two full weeks to prepare for the Chiefs and I am in no circumstance throwing him in on short preparation for the Rams or Vikings.
My number one goal for Josh Rosen this year is to get him through the entire season completely healthy until we can get a better O-Line.
My dream scenario is regardless of our record that Sam Bradford can play 10+ games. If we're still in contention after 10 games, let Bradford ride it out as long as possible. If we're out of contention after 10 games(3-7, 2-6) then put in Rosen and give him 6 games of experience heading into next year.

What if it's late in the season, Bradford is on IR and Rosen is just out for a couple games and you need to win one to go to the playoffs? I see what you're saying but their are so many scenarios where you might need a competent #3 qb.... In that situation what does that 3rd QB achieve? They win you that last game and then what? Get bounced in the 1st round? I dont understand the appeal. As I said, if Bradford and Rosen both got hurt, thats fate saying pack up and plan for 2019. Idk, maybe Rosen is playing well before then and he could use some playoff experience??.... who knows what could happen but it doesn't hurt to have a #3qb that would be a #2 on most teams... we aren't losing much on him now except a roster spot.

ESPN was going off today on how well Rosen was doing. Perhaps a link to the story?
Just asking because since I don't "subscribe" to ESPN I find a lot of stories get cut off. Or are made into snippets asking for a subscription.

Wolfley stated on 98.7 this morning he is hearing from coaches and scouts that Rosen is impressing. Wolfley said David Pasch (voice of the Cards) also has talked to football personnel and is hearing very good things about Rosen.

It will be an NFL passing clinic once we get Bradford and Rosen on the field. Any OC would salivate over having these two on the field during OTAs and preseason.

A very valuable roster spot. The odds of the #3 QB seeing the field are nil. Mike Glennon is not winning the superbowl. If Bradford and Rosen go down, then 100% thats fate saying plan for 2019. There is zero positive reasons to have a #3 QB. It doesnt help our present and can only hurt our future. The Phx Suns just got the #1 pick and in all likelihood Deandre Ayton, a HOF caliber and franchise changing talent. Had they kept fighting at the end of a lost season and won 1 or 2 worthless games, we'd be sitting here with nothing to be happy about. Instead, all of phoenix is electrified and excited. Sometimes you gotta know when to hold em knoooow when to fold em know when to walk away, know when to run you never' count your mun'a when yer sittin' at the taableee

The 3 spot is valuable. We need a starting QB and a backup. Glennon is a player who is cheap and could be a viable backup QB for a very long time. Now that we secured Rosen and he is proving he may be able to start we no longer need Bradford on the roster. We should put him on the practice squad and move him for a pick the way Philadelphia did when it was clear Wentz was going to play. We aren't getting a 1 for Bradford but that's not why Philadelphia moved him. He wasn't part of their plan going forward. Bradford is at best a short term play and at worst a disgruntled veteran who will be a problem if he is beat out by Rosen. Give the kid all the reps and move on. We hit a home run in the draft, don't turn it into a single.

Wouldn't Rosen technically be the #1 since it has be announced Bradford won't participate much during the off-season

This is the franchise QB for the next decade possibly.. Hopefully the Cardinals just take their time or Bradford doesnt get injured until week 8 lol.. Baby steps with this guy he's no Matt Leinhart, I think this one might be the real deal.

We are in exactly the spot I personally hoped for going into camp, and I never thought it was possible.
1) A vet mentor QB in Bradford on a one year contract that doesn’t break our cap, with an option for another year if needed. Not likely needed, but it gives us flexibility. The role is clear...mentor...as evidenced by Bradford’s first text to Rosen. He runs exactly the type of offense Rosen will. Same QB type. He will have Rosen’s respect as a serious professional and former 1st pick. All that and if healthy is an extremely capable QB to win us some games. Perfect for installing the offense, gelling the line, and coaching up our offense heavy draft.
2) One of three, IMO, legit QBOF candidates in this draft. No pressure to step in immediately. A valuable mentor ahead of him who knows his role and will run the same style offense. Bradford would not be able to run an offense built around a Lamar Jackson or Baker Mayfield type QB strengths. He’s perfect for Rosen.
3) Mike Glennon. Yes, Mike Glennon. Still young, still some promise as a future QB1 despite the hate he gets for some reason. That’s important since despite all the hope and promise of Rosen, he has year to throw an NFL pass and has a concussion history. But he is our #2, beyond what realistically will be one year (or less) of Bradford. A young, 60%+ QB2 with a 34/20 TD/INT record is ideal as a backup QB. Some of you guys are saying if it came down to him in the playoffs he won’t win us a Super Bowl in 2018. I’d counter we aren’t going to a Super Bowl in 2018 regardless, but now have hope for 2019 and beyond. That’s what Glennon is here for. And a Glennon type won’t lose you a Super Bowl. He’s a far better option than Stanton.

ESPN was going off today on how well Rosen was doing. WOW!! Its rare to hear ESPN raving about anything cardinal. When Rosen finally starts, the raves will really ramp up at ESPN and LA. If Rosen wins a few the first month, then it's Sports Illustrated cover, Wheaties box, Buick commercial, Nike shoes, SNL, etc. If Rosen loses, it's the usual Cardinals team treatment and nothing further is said about him by media.
