I actually prefer the "put in mid game" start to a rooks career, rather than start a new game for the first time. I just feel like standing on the sideline for half a game gets you warmed up. Adjust to the noise. Watching live football. Rather than starting a game, you walk out on that field cold and nervous. Its a small thing but I think it matters.

As for starting his rookie year, could be worse. I think the OL has played admirably, so its not like he'll be David Carr out there getting sacked 70 times. Hes got weapons in David and Larry. Of all the rookie QBs I think Rosen has the best situation

for good or bad they are always kept in a tidy spot
