Switching coaches mid season isn't ideal.
Run out the season, make moves on the whole bunch if they fail to put a respectable product on the field.
New GM, coaches with a young QB, high draft pick. That should attract a better group of managerial talent.

Its still early but so far I see a lack of attention or prioritization to details...

Wilks this morning " we have the same faith in chase as David Johnson" oh brother. Yesterday, we witnessed the frightening birth of “Faith” based coaching. This is an abandonment of statistics, probabilities, history and logic in game day decisions. For example: 1) No faith in Dawson hitting a game sealing FG at 57 yards even though he has made that distance before. 2) Faith that Chase Edmonds is as good as David Johnson in a critical yardage situation. 3) No faith that your experienced 20 million dollar QB can move the ball 35 yards downfield for a game winning FG attempt. 4) Faith that tossing a cold rookie QB into a desperate situation would result in a Patrick Mahomes type performance even though he has never played a down in regular season. Ready yourself for “faith” based coaching. It is the new Cardinals standard as stated by Coach Wilks. It must have been a miserable game for the home fans at State Farm stadium. Probably more like a Bears home game. And very reminiscent of the Denny Green Monday night melt-down game. And the Cardinals players, after the game, laughing it up on the field shows they are emotionally disconnected from what just happened and how serious it is. Jude LaCava said it best last night in his game summary in that we now have an “organizational problem.” Yeah it sucked, but it's happened many, many times before. I will say the Bears fans weren't as bad as a lot of other teams. The bigger issue is losing the game like that no matter the composition of the crowd.

I guess he could try saying McCoy is coaching extremely, extremely well and call off the dogs that way. Worked for Arians, albeit in an area of the game that many people think is not a big deal for some unknown reason.
Mccoy essentially gets a second wind with Rosen. So say 3 more games as OC with Rosen. If still the offense is DOA, then Mccoy gets fired. Because maybe this is a good offense, but Bradford was the problem. Unlikely, but maybe. As we saw when Rosen got in there, he threw 2 beautiful, long 1st down throws. So apparently those plays do exist in Mccoys offense, it just took a different QB to throw them. We'll see. I say 3 more games with Rosen. If no improvement, Mccoys fired.
Did you notice that the receivers were millimeters past the first down distance when both were caught? IMO both could have been called short by the refs, but weren't. In watching our receivers they always seem to be short of first down distance when on short routes - so even if the ball is caught it is not for much gain. Maybe it is because Bradford/Rosen do not have much time and they know it - or maybe they aren't being taught to go past the needed distance. Or more likely, we have no long ball game. Whatever, so far we sure have a ton of very short completed passes, drops and misses.

wilks signed his and SK death sentence when they put Rosen in yesterday ...RIP... A desperation move. Their death sentence and ruination for Rosen. I predicted this would happen around week 8 because I thought they would cycle through Glennon for a few games before feeding Rosen to the beasts.

wilks signed his and SK death sentence when they put Rosen in yesterday ...RIP... gotta play sometime. I actually prefer the "put in mid game" start to a rooks career, rather than start a new game for the first time. I just feel like standing on the sideline for half a game gets you warmed up. Adjust to the noise. Watching live football. Rather than starting a game, you walk out on that field cold and nervous. Its a small thing but I think it matters. As for starting his rookie year, could be worse. I think the OL has played admirably, so its not like he'll be David Carr out there getting sacked 70 times. Hes got weapons in David and Larry. Of all the rookie QBs I think Rosen has the best situation

I think the prescribed thought leading up to the hiring of Wilks was that no decent coach wanted anything to do with the Cardinals because of the QB situation. Who knows if that's true. This mess is not just a Wilks thing of course. The wunderkind McVay takes the Rams job coming off of a disaster season with a QB named Goff who some are already calling a bust so I can never buy the idea that it's about one guy. Maybe the Cardinals are still stuck in a bygone decade, with "the process", too much loyalty, whatever.
Anyway, should be interesting on some level to watch this thing play out. Wilks can't walk the plank without Keim, that much I know.
There are multiple reasons. You touched on one reason: the lack of a QB. The other reason is Keim and Mike B. wanted a coach who they could work with. They didn't want to hire a coach with his own vision who would be left alone. I think many coaches didn't like that model and wanted more control over player decisions. And finally, I think this was more of Keim trying to be unorthodox and move away from what other teams were doing. Other teams were trying to hire offensive gurus or brilliant minds. Keim wanted more of a disciplinarian and a leader. I think he felt that Arians babied these guys so Wilks was a refreshing change.

wilks signed his and SK death sentence when they put Rosen in yesterday ...RIP... I liked the move. Bradford was horrible. The offense was not doing anything. Rosen played well. The playcall on the 3rd and 2 was the nail in the coffin. It should have been a pass considering they proved they couldn't run the ball. And if you are going to run, it should have been a quick hitch inside with a fullback and using David Johnson. Had they converted on that series, it's likely they would have won the game.
Bradford needed to be benched. What you saw from Bradford was nothing new. In college at OU, he had a great offensive line, weapons and weak defenses. He faced no pressure and had all day to throw. He goes to the NFL and couldn't deal with pressure. Still has the same tendency of holding onto balls and making slow reads. Can't complete throws in tight windows; receiver has to be completely open. As a result, he was being indecisive and cost us. The fumble was a result of his indecision despite having time to throw. Then when he waits until it is too late to run, he doesn't secure the ball and the rest in history. If Bradford remained, we have no shot. Rosen was our only chance of winning and he should have probably stared the second half.
Wilks shouldn't be criticized for putting in Rosen. That was about the only good decision he made. However, the playcalling was abysmal. Even on the 4th and 5, they call long outs that require time to develop. Talk about putting a rookie in the worst possible scenario. Smarter coaches draw up plays that enable the rookie to get the ball out of his hands quickly to develop momentum.

how is it a bad move to change coaches mid year but not qvs mid game? the same people that think Bradford should have been pulled think wilks should stay. how was Bradford possible any less competent than wilks? and Bradford showed to start the game he can get the job done with the right plays called, wilks just shows the total incompetence to call the right plays. bradfprd proved he can do the job, wilks proved he cant do the job, and wilks should keep his job? what possible standards can come up with that? other than double?

Bradford was hired to be a placeholder for this year. Wilks was hired because management and ownership thought he would develop into a very good HC. It's one thing to dump an old QB who's done. It's another thing to dump a young HC you just invested a 4 year deal in because you believe in him.

reality trumps believing. wilks believes in his system. whats our power ranking again? some believe the earth is flat. belief is not going to make wilks a coach. wolks was hired because bruce retired and bidwill didn't want to admit the mistake of letting haley go. it is not another thing. Bradford is proven, thats why he got paid. wilks has never proven he could get the job dones, and infact has proven quite the opposite. its time for wilks to go. coaches salaries don't come out of the cap and a winner will earn far more money than a loser for the cards in the long run so its an investment not and expenditure. wilks is an investment that went bankrupt, you don't double down on those unless you want to be bankrupt too. you just write those off and move on to something that will provide a positive return.
