Really one year on the bench really Darnold and Josh Allen could learn from Patrick M. But both now are thrown to the wolves.

To be fair, I think the aggressive trade for Rosen was result of Keim learning his lesson from missing on Mahomes. Shouldn’t he have learned that lesson when he missed out on Abdullah, whom he wanted so bad previously? He is the GM of an NFL franchise, if you have your mind set on someone and its a franchise QB you can secure for a third round pick, then you do it. Or you didn’t want him bad enough and you should have.d I do not see giving up a third round pick for Rosen as “aggressive”. Its pretty much the most no brainer trade ever. And yes, maybe missing out numerous times helped him go for it, but it shouldn’t be that hard. I agree, but context in this case is paramount. Mahomes was long considered a 2nd round pick leading into the draft. It wasn't till very close to draft day that he was considered a 1st rounder, let alone top 10. GMs are understandably hesitant to REACH on a prospect. After all, wouldn't we be roasting him if it was. Many draft experts considered him a reach at #13. Keim balked at the 3rd rounder for the #10 pick when Mahomes was already going to be a reach for him at #13. I'm sure he figured he'd take heat from the reach, but it wouldn't be unbearable. He did NOT want to be accused of reaching AND give up a 3rd to do it. That was his mistake: thinking Mahomes was a reach at #10 or #13. And no, this isn't hindsight either. I suggested the same thing when it started to smell like he wouldn't be there at #13 even though many quality draft experts said he should go in the 2nd. I, among others, were worried he'd get too cute with the pick. I was hoping he saw the IT we saw and would give up what was needed to get him. It was like someone punched me in the gut when KC picked him.

I guess a hand full of fans on here are smarter than your expects and Keim then.

I guess a hand full of fans on here are smarter than your expects and Keim then. I'm not sure which facts you're disputing here but: 1. Mahomes had a 2nd round grade: www.ganggreennation.com/2017/2/23/14714234/patrick-mahomes-got-second-round-grade-from-college-advisory"In a discussion with Florio, former Texas Tech quarterback and current Draft prospect Patrick Mahomes indicated he was given a second round grade by the NFL's College Advisory Committee." 2. Keim wanted Mahomes at #13: www.azcentral.com/story/sports/nfl/cardinals/2018/04/18/arizona-cardinals-steve-keim-steve-wilks-nfl-draft/530606002/"...Keim and Arians have said they coveted certain ones, such as Pat Mahomes a year ago, only to watch the Chiefs leapfrog ahead of them to take him..." It's also puzzling that you'd suggest I think I'm smarter than Keim. I might be one of the few guys left that think he's amazing at his job. I take heat from all sorts of guys here for defending him. Talk about danged if I do, Danged if I don't.

I legit do not care if you found some link from a person who thought he was a 2nd round pick. There are idiots everywhere. Nobody that I know or on the board even thought he wasnt going to be a first round pick.
You and a couple people who deem experts may have thought he was a reach. I did not, nor did Andy Reid who I respect more than anyone on the Cardinals staff.
I think Keim is far from amazing. I also, do not think everything he does is horrible as some on here do. He is average in my mind.
Nobody knows what goes through Keim’s mind so its pointless to claim to know in my opinion.
We didnt draft Mahomes when we had a chance to do so. We should have. Respecfully nothing else to discuss on the matter.

Josh Allen hurdles a guy. Bills up 17-0. They were one of the biggest underdogs in week 3 history.

How can anyone gripe about this
Mahomes would be getting killed here
The chiefs have a offensive line, and elite wide out , elite tight end, and a pretty good running back.
Stop comparing an apple to an Orange

Mahomes playing great but Niners are leaving so many guys wide open that I might could throw TD’s. 😂
