Interesting stat: Neither team shut out the other team for the many years of home and away games. 57 total contests.

Appears the outdoor air quality will be above 200 on Sunday. That is above working level. Will they or should they cancel this game? The Niners practiced today when they shouldn’t have.

San Francisco 49ers receiver Deebo Samuel (foot) and cornerback Jason Verrett (hamstring) will miss Week 1. 2020 first-round WR Brandon Aiyuk (hamstring) and center Ben Garland (ankle) are listed as questionable.

Team to Team
A new segment brought to us by Darren Urban
This week he talks with his counterpoint partner Carl Inman of the 49ers He is with the BAY Area News Group
Carl does a real good job reviewing his team. Props to him. I can see why he has been covering the 49ers a long time. He is honest like with the part the 49ers had difficulty covering mobile QBs last season.
Class acts both of them.

I look at the Cardinals almost like my kids. Though my kids come first. They may have done or do some things that really upset me and make me mad but they are still my kids (My team) I stand behind them on anything. Voice my opinion when they are wrong but I love my team almost as but not as much as my kids. Its not perfect some things are wrong. I stand for the flag but if someone wants to kneel on one knee ok. So be it. My conscience is clear, my heart and soul are as well If I ever kneel its on two knees. The only way to score is to go all the way. Two Knees are all the way not half way. < my quote GO CARDINALS AND RIMROCK!

I am so freaking excited.
I really think the Cardinals will win. With Deebo out (and Emmanuel gone) I think they are gunna go for the run game and get try to get Kittle locked and loaded. I think if we can score 24 we win. But we gotta score in the 20's. 9ers with a bit of a SB hangover. I see them scoring 20-23 points.

I respect other people rights to express. I will live my life and let others live theirs. As long as it peaceful and law abiding. As far as the knee goes if you want to do that it’s free country. Myself I will not take knee for anyone on this earth.

I may not like it or agree with it, but I am not in their shoes and have not experienced what they have. When it comes to egregious things one can do, kneeling during the anthem to try to right a wrong is way down my list of bad behavior. You can disagree with the method, but it doesn't mean they are evil people. I just wish all on both sides would try to see it from the others point of view. If you can do that, all this won't seem so bad. OK...this will be my last comment on this political crap. Right now, I'm more interested in this.....

It shouldn’t be a problem for them exercising their rights. Our very own quarterback could be racially profiled. The fanbase would have a fit. If they win it all than those who left shouldn’t come back. It’s many who understand and will ride with them.
We can’t look at them as just as being folks who are suppose to just entertain us like they don’t have an outside life. That’s wrong. Most of them could have opted out

A lot of people complain about kneeling or actions taken to gain awareness of this new movement spend an awful great deal of talking or complaining about it. Yikes. Athletes (or even actors/actresses to add on, etc) are not entertainment play things. While it is their job, profession, or career, it is not their lives. They are not just doing it just for themselves. The fact that it's 2020 and nearly 2021 and it's still an issue and people still want to complain about it means we have so far to go. History will not favor this stance, just as if you opposed the Civil Rights in the 60's or interracial marriage, or any of the things that seem so comical to be against at this day and age, it's going to be the same. You have a choice. Human life really isn't political. And sports and politics(and/or race) (or art/movies, etc and politics) in general has gone together since, well, like forever. Don't pretend now it's an inconvenience. Buckle up. Football is going to happen and so is "politics." It's so easy to not be offended by it, it's laughable. Hear the plight of your fellow man and then enjoy some football. It's actually really, really easy to do.
Football IS back. Which is exciting for all of us. You do not have to take their message to heart but it's a step in the right direction to not be offended by it. It is amazing we are able to start the season. Let's hope that it is a nice, fun, full season for everyone.
