I think this game will be much better than many predict. While the SF 49ers supposedly are set for a SB run, the Arizona Cardinals are improved significantly on Offense and a some on Defense. SF has the most questions on Offense. Can the team gain chunk plays, steam roll the front Dline at will, and score at will? The receiver corps is not the same this year. AZ has the most questions on Defense. The Dback weaknesses are still there. Who on Cardinals Defense intimidates? Jones can only play 1 of 11 positions. Yeah, but Simmons is planning on playing the other 10! The Cards shut down the Niners rushing attack in both games. It was their passing attack and giving up big chunk plays that killed us. We need constant pass rush and pressure from up the middle. We can win this games if we limit the passing and not make Jimmy G look All WORLD again.

I listened to the Budda Baker interview yesterday. Question was asked about how they are planning on covering Kittle and was asked about Simmons in doing some covering. He made remark that without giving away game plan, they would ALL HAVE a hand in this. I see combos of safety/corners and Simmons. Simmons could have big hand in this particularly if he is effective early.

Will the Cards O wear the 9'er D down with all these "fast plays"? Can the D step up and throttle Kittle? 5 days and counting.
Sidenote, The Thursday night game between KC and Houston will say alot about the preparedness of the NFL for this season.

Sidenote, The Thursday night game between KC and Houston will say alot about the preparedness of the NFL for this season.I'm interested in this myself and I will be watching. With no preseason, this is new territory. Hopefully, coaches like KK will have leg up since they are use to no preseason. Lets also remember, the referees will be rusty and there are new rules for them to digest. And from what I understand, due to covid 19 and normal turn over, there will be more new ones than normal. I hope to hell bad calls don't come into play. I tell you what though.....I'm ready. Not long ago, I didn't think this would happen at all. Lets all root for not only are Cards but for the season to happen.....and.... all players and fans stay covid free.

Hmmm? The writer is a bit lazy, IMV. He says the Cardinals are a basement team. Where's that coming from? 2019? I thought this article was about the present. Then he goes on to pick at the team's strengths. Jones gets honorable mention due to 19 sacks in 2019 and the threat to do significant damage next Sunday. Murray gets a nod as an up and coming star. Hopkins gets a laser focus of course. What I laughed out loud about was the writer saying that Sherman and his posse will play opposite of Hopkins and shut down the most potent WR threat in the League. Shanahan is right about one thing. He gets a thumbs up by saying the 2020 Cardinals are not the 2019 Cardinals, a team that competed well and and barely lost. And that the Cardinals are very dangerous here and now. That's what Shanahan is telling his team. That's good coaching. Being honest. Thank you.

Per SI. Com We've protected Foster, Jones & Thomas. I expect the last one will be Dogbe if he clears waivers and if not Bullard. We can't be that hot on Weaver, this side of any injuries.

I expected him to be a special teams demon. No pre season to prove himself though. There will be a lot of rookies red shirting this season.

Nick Bosa what it is like to go 1 on 1 vs Trent Williams. I hope D.J. Humphries watches and learns somethingDJ Humphries with the media 8/16/20 DJ didn't allow one sack in two games facing Bosa last year. Bosa should improve but hopefully DJ has his number and shuts him down again this year.

49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said the air quality in the Bay Area isn’t as bad as the viral pictures of orange skies have shown. He said if the air quality hits 200, there can’t be football, either in practice or game form. It’s currently under 100 for now.
If the air quality becomes an issue where they have to move the game to Glendale, the teams could swap their home/away Weeks 1 & 16.
