My impression. Jones is one big dude at QB. He looked like the biggest man on the field. McCoy isn't going to make me miss BA. It's good to see DJ look like DJ. Pre-season football is a hot mess. Making season ticket holders pay for it borders on criminal theft. Rosen looked good bending down to pick up the football and getting his head up and looking down field. It's pretty apparent that we won't know what we have for at least 3 or 4 regular season games. As scrimmages go, that was a mess. Rosen did do a good job trying to keep his eyes downfield while fielding ground balls from Munyer. What a travesty. The only other part of that situation that I liked was how McCoy started putting Rosen under center instead of being pig headed and continuing to watch Munyer bowling the snaps the rest of the night. Bene Benwikere and Cap Capi got mentioned a lot last night. Would like to see what they do against the ones. Loved everything I saw from the first string on both sides of the ball. Granted, we weren't facing Rivers and a few other key players like Bosa, Allen and Hayward, but the two runs by DJ were just awesome. Can you imagine being a defense and having to deal with that load all game long? Brandon Williams and JJ Nelson both need to find the next train out of town. What wastes of space and draft picks they turned out to be. Maybe they can catch a ride with Munyer.

Capi had a great game. Munyer can go away. Rosen looked decent. I'm sure he would have looked way better playing with the ones. JJ Nelson still can't catch. Brandon Williams should be cut immediately. Can't tackle or cover and gets too many PI's. He was getting picked on by the 3's and 4's and still sucked. Keep Keim suspended an extra week for keeping him around. Keep Kanoff and get rid of Glennon. Kanoff had a couple really nice throws. Tolliver had an amazing catch. First OL and DJ looked really good. Benwikere looked really good. I didn't notice Wilks yelling at anybody like BA used to. It felt great to see a fullback on the field. I feel bad for Cash. It looked like he blew out his knee.

The first string D looked good but needs a healthy Golden back, and would benefit greatly from one more stud on the interior line. DBuc back should help as well.
Second string D looked ok in backfield but slow to get anything going up front. Deeper down the D Capi really looked good, but hard to evaluate until he’s up against starters. I was happy to see some CBs flashing potential, as we are always looking for someone opposite PP21.
Too small a sample to judge Bradford, but history shows as long as he is healthy he should be solid in the offense McCoy seems to be building. Hand off the ball or make quick, accurate throws. He can do that. Also too small a sample for starting Oline but encouraging that when they were in the run game looked great and Bradford wasn’t touched.
DJ and Edmunds look great, Logan will likely stick around and RB quality drops after them. Foster is Foster and Penney is Penney.
Nothing cleared up for me regarding WRs after Fitz. Kirk did what he could do but after him, nothing memorable. TEs...not much to see. A great TE would be nice in a running/short passing offense.
Second team and down Oline was awful to say the least, and that center ruined our ability to really, truly judge Josh. Truth is we have THREE traditional pocket passing QBs, which IMO are the best type to have long term WITH ONE CONDITION...you MUST have an Oline that provides them a good pocket. All three will only succeed with that, so job 1 is now to build that Oline in both starters and depth. We clearly don’t have that. All three QBs are prone to injury as well. We need a top of the NFL Oline. $100 million to spend next year, I’d throw half of it at Oline.

First string offense looked good for the little they were out there. DJ looked like a bull. Way to go to start the game. Two 14 yard runs right up the middle. That will set the tone for any offense. D looked like it knew what it was doing for switching over from a 3/4 to a 4/3. I think before the season is over Pierre will supplant Diche as the starter at DT. Guy just wants it.
Second string looked bad. Center had a lot to do with it though. Can't say much about Rosen, since he was fielding grounders all night and throwing the timing off. I hope we never see Glennon in a game. Kanoff looked like he knew what he was doing. Be nice if he developed into a good back up. Back ups did had their players. Capri and a few others stood out.
All in all. Once the 1st teams left the field it was a pre season game. Lot of fits and stops. Some good plays and a lot of misses. I’m not sure how Glennon is an experiment?? He has been on their radar (undeservingly) for years. I cannot and will not ever like this guy I would argue Glennon is one of the better third string QB's in the NFL. He could be trade bait when other NFL Qb's start going down.

Did you happen to watch the performance of RG3 and Teddy Bridgewater? I don't think Glennon is going anywhere other than an outright cut. His value has already dropped.

Slow down Sally. Glennon has a body of work in the NFL. Better stats then Drew Stanton. Just didnt have a coach who loved him so much. When the QB's start dropping Glennon could POSSIBLY have some value. Even for our team considering the perilous history of Bradford.

TB and RG3 are the next guys moved if someone of value goes down. They both make a fraction of what Glennon is making and they both have taken NFL teams to the playoffs and are miles better. They are both signed to 1 year deals at a fraction of Glennons price. I would have loved to sign TB at the price the Jets got him. The risk reward for TB on the upside was incredible.

remember tb's value tanked not because of on the field, but because he's not smart enough to make it on the field. he hit a guy twice his size and got put on the dl. he had metal problems not physical ones. who knows how bad his next tantrum is gonna be, and he's clearly not smart enough to pick only fights he can win.

MVP: Cap Capi. 3 sacks. Showing why he has such a big fan base. Should easily make the team as backup OLB. A+ 2nd Choice MVP: Bene Benwikere. 3 Forced Fumbles. 1 tip INT. Couldve not have made a bigger impact. A+. 1. The starting Unit OL Looked AMAZING. Just incredible. Maybe the best ive seen it in AZ. Please none of you get hurt. A+. 2. David Johnson looked like David Johnson. Started with the excellent OL blocking, but he looked great running out there. 3. Run D looked very good. Still early, but I think this group works well as a 4-3. 4. Really good coaching as a whole. Only 1 delay of game. No 12 men on the field. Few (if any) false starts. No offsides. Other than the tackling flags and Brandons PI's, this was a very disciplined unit. 5. I dont think I like Mike Mccoys offense.....waaaay too many short throws. Too many runs as well. Maybe it was just PS, but It was excruciating watching his 5 yards or less offense. 6. Rosen - impossible to judge. That OL and worst center ever ruined everything. He was completely out of funk. But still, I think he threw some great passes. He played alot better than the stat line. I think he get a B+. Monday Cuts: 1. Daniel Munyer. Single handily sabotaged Rosens night by bowling snaps to him. That was unbelievable. 2. Brandon Williams. Time to cut the cord. With Keim gone, theres nobody here to protect him. 3. Evan Boehm. And really the entire 2nd team OL. But Boehm was a huge part why Rosen was getting eaten alive. Hes not an NFL player. 4. DJ Foster and Penny. Really no need. Our RB room is full. I give our starting O and starting D an A+ grade. I thought that was a stupendous performance. Very optimistic. With that said, I think our back ups are horrible. Especially the OL. All 5 guys just looked BAD. 2nd unit DL was OK. 2nd unit DBs were OK (excluding Brandon). But man that 2nd unit OL needs to all get cut and replaced ASAP. #4 and #5 contridic one another. Par for the course with your comments as a whole. Coaching how to play football and play calling arent the same thing. A chimp with a playsheet can call plays. Coaching means teaching & coordinating. If the QB audibles at the line, hes now the play caller. Is he coaching? No.

Impressive. You do know that TB and RG3 when healthy actually lead teams to the playoffs. They both are on 1 year deals for practically nothing because of injury. I wanted to sign TB instead of Bradford. High risk but it would have allowed us to sign another good OL man. You know the guys who stand in front of the QB, block and snap the ball to the QB. Mike Glennon has done about as much as Wayne Gabbert in this league.

When has the last time RJ has done anything in this league? He's a recycled bum. Bridgewater is someone I am also intrigued with. A good signing by the Jets. But it's one pre season game . Just relax and see how it all plays out .

At least JJ Nelson had a few good games in his career while being our 2nd most productive WR in 2016. I’m not his biggest fan, but he shouldn’t be called a waste. He’s a #4 WR at best & has had a decent career at it so far. OTOH, Brandon Williams wouldn’t have been drafted, let alone in the 3rd round, if the FO wasn’t drunk & high when they made that selection. Dude wasn’t even good in college AT ALL & still somehow got selected as high as he did in the 3rd round. Easily Keim’s worst pick of his career so far.

BA threw the ball down the field where he was able to go make a play. He clearly isn't a possession WR who is going to be good in traffic when challenged. I think if you're going to try and use JJ to move the chains and allow defensive backs to physically challenge him you're not going to get much production out of him. There's no question he can beat one on one coverage down the field and make a play on the ball. I'm not sure McCoy is going to do that enough to warrant keeping him.

Just cut the backup center. Main take from the game, feel like you do that before you even bother watching film then you go from there.
Oh yeah #PayDavid
