Skins fan here... Will be in the stands on game day - really looking forward to seeing University of Phoenix stadium. I was at a game back in 2005 when the game was at the ASU stadium and had a great time. That game was a close one with the Skins getting the win. I think this game will be similar. Our last two 1st round picks have been run stoppers so it will be a great test going against Johnson. I worry that he could have a big day but he will earn it as I imagine the Skins will be focused on stopping the run first. A lot of our starters played very little (or not at all) in the pre-season so Im also a little worried about a slow start. Hoping AP still has something left and runs hard - Im not real confident in our passing game yet since we have a new QB that has little game experience with our mediocre receivers. Some similarities to the Cards perhaps although Fitz is far from mediocre. Hopefully Norman can earn his big paycheck for once. As many here have said I think the outcome of this game will tell us all a lot as to what we can expect the rest of the year. The skins unfortunately have lost the last 4 season openers so Im hopeful that changes. Iupati lives down the road from me and is the neighbor of my brother, also went to the U of I so Im a bit of a fan of his but am hoping he has a bad day Sunday. Anyway - here is to a good entertaining game with no injuries. Staying at the Renaissance in Glendale - hopefully its worth it. Was told there are lots of places to see and things to do around the stadium and not to stay in down town Phoenix. Oh and hope they close the roof! Im not used to your heat! Cheers! Idahoskin, Welcome to the Cards Forum for the weekend game! Gonna be an eye opener game for both teams. Smith and Bradford know how to play good football. David Johnson is ready to resume his awesome 2016 season! Larry Fitzgerald is close behind Jerry Rice's HOF records.
Hope you stick around after this game. A few other team's fans stick around thru the entire season. We like just about everybody and need more members for our new Forum (est May 2018). Sorry you won't get to see the University of Phoenix stadium in person much longer. By this weekend, the name will likely be officially changed to State Farm Stadium. Just today, the Cardinals owner Mike Bidwill signed up State Farm for the stadium naming rights for the next 18 years! Warm regards, PUTMEIN

I think the first 3 to 4 games mean very little. Teams have very little actual practice and live action. Lots of feeling out and mistakes before we know who any of these teams really are.
I can see Alex smith ability to run for first downs as a big edge for Washington. Should be sloppy with the refs screwing up a call or two. Two teams in transition. Toss up game with a home edge nullified by their mobile QB. 15 15 tie.

I believe the Cardinals will win.. it’s going to be the dink and dunk bowl. I just want them to stay healthy.. I don’t care if they win 9-7. But stay healthy!

Both teams are looking for new identities within their respective Divisions. Smith and Bradford led offenses won't disappoint fans. But scoring will be lower than Las Vegas' 44 O/U. Cardinals defense gets the nod over Washington defense. Cardinals 23, Redskins 15.

Well we are 0-0 and as usual I’m feeling the same optimism for the Cardinals as I am for my newly drafted, 0-0 fantasy team. Cards win.

When AP is in the game it severely limits the Washington O. He can't block or catch a pass out of the backfield. Smith is a pretty mobile QB so that may not matter as much as it would with a pure pocket passer like Bradford or Palmer. AP has been found out. If it's their bigs against ours and they consistently win that battle, it's going to be a long year.

Every fan, Tampa Bay and the Russians on the space station all knew he was getting the ball, all day. What'd he do? 150 and 2 TDs. Just because someone is a 1 trick pony doesnt mean they are easily beat. AP is a HOF RB. Still very powerful. Still fast. With our crappy DL and lost Reddick and small Bucannon, I can see AP bulldozing us.

The following week against the Rams he had 11 carries for 21 yards and missed the block that got Palmer killed. If our D is any good they should be able to stop the run with a loaded box. With AP in the game Washington losses a blocker and potential safety valve in the passing game. If he can't move the chains against a good D they will have to take him off the field.

Just bought 2 for the opener. I guess we better kick ass. I can't stand the Redskins fight song.
