Don't think there will be any takers on Murray we buy him out and move on. Does the 2025 CAP then take a massive hit due to KM bought-out contract? Please let me know what you think. I think the answers is a big YES. Bidwill and Ossenfort are trapped by Murray's extension and pay calculations to 2027. At this point don't care about the cap hit we need him off the books To players we need. This is his prove or else season. They gambled and it appears it ended in failure now you have to take the hit. Take a look arizonasports.com/story/3557277/kyler-murray-cardinals-now-never/

Take a look arizonasports.com/story/3557277/kyler-murray-cardinals-now-never/That is an insightful link to an article dated Sep 6, 2024, and written before the dismal 1-3 start we have on Oct 2, 2024. I could not have said it better about QB Murray's future, not only with the Cardinals as their starting QB, but perhaps as a starting QB anywhere in the NFL. The team has the CAP bucks and contract leverage to end the QB gamble at anytime. If the team does get QB Murray off the books, then what? Tune time? NO. Eat the rest of the 2024 season? NO. Then look to FA, and the Draft in 2025, for help? NO. We've been down these paths 100s of times. I'm trying to be optimistic about the next 13 games on the 2024 schedule, and QB Murray's winning any of the games, but having trouble finding enough wins to get to .500 with our sup-par D and a QB who is obviously struggling again. QB Murray has done some incredible good and dumb things on the field since 2019. He has amazing physical potential. But after 5 pro years and 4 games into 2024, he is still unable to lead and win when the team desperately needs a QB leader.

That's it, kyler gives us snapshots now and then and it's just not good enough for what he is being paid.

We’re gonna have to take the (cap) hit I don’t see how this franchise can roll with KM another 2 seasons And replace with who? Every year, a team cuts a QB loose due to contract or performance issues. Last year, it was Cousins. The prior year, it was Rodgers. In 2025, another name will hit the street. It might be Warner #2 or Palmer #2. I do know that the QB line is always moving.

It might be Warner #2 or Palmer #2. I do know that the QB line is always moving. Rodgers has the same passing stats except one less passing TD, and worse running stats (of course) than Kyler. But the difference in teams is reflected in the defenses. Jets are ranked #2 in defensive yards allowed at 256/game, and have allowed 5 TDs. We are near the bottom at 355/game and 13 TDs allowed. Only a few of us regulars here seem to be missing the fact that our record is what it is due to absolute shoddy defense. If we had the Jets defense right now we would be 3-1 at least, and Kyler would have the best QB numbers in the NFL due to the increased time of possession.
