I know that some of the early chatter (seemingly rooted in his time in San Diego) was to expect a fairly boring brand of offense. Seems to me that big, exciting plays are just as likely a byproduct of the players and their efforts as they are the play design. With what will be almost certainly a more accurate passing game to build upon, I'm looking forward to what McCoy draws up for our more talented players.

I don't care what the offense looks like. As long as it winds up with a W at the end of the game. That's the most important stat.

I just want the season to begin so we can see what we have! Our offense will largely be driven by our defense and how they play...way different than the last 5 years.

I'll tell you what's exciting to me. Scoring touchdowns and winning games. I'll also tell you what's not exciting. Long throws that get picked off and losing games.
Really no one cares how you do it, unless you own a certain player on your fantasy team.

I think it will be run first, as it should be with the talent on our team.
I expect less "no riscut no biscut" and more sustained drives with the goal of scoring points or flipping the field on every possession.
I honestly think if our offense can put up 24 points in any game, we have a very good chance to win. Our defense is going to be very solid.

Every time we have made changes in coordinators there has been an adjustment period. More so when there are large wholesale scheme changes like when Bowles came on board and Arians took over the offense. I'm a little uncomfortable with the fact that we not only changed coordinators but schemes as well. High risk High reward offense with BA to a run first with McCoy and from a 3-4 (though it didn't really look like it most of the time) to a 4-3.
Start with a slimmed down playbook and ramp it up as the season progresses I guess.

I don't care if it's the old Woody Hays 3 yards and a cloud of dust. Long as were winning that the fun part. I know it's not going to BA's heave it up all the time offense. Were going to see a lot more running and winning or loosing games in the 2nd half. A lot more close games.

I'm all in when it comes to using a fullback. I've been wanting this for some time. I remember the Terry Metcalf Jim Otis days.
Full backs for whatever reason fell out of favor. I think this might be the right time to bring them back. It will be fun to see how it plays out.

Worked good for Dallas with Moose Johnston and Emmitt Smith. Hopefully it can for us this season.

The league has gone pass happy since then and the goal is to get as many receivers on the field as possible. Giving up a spot for a potential pass catcher by using a FB doesn't fit into most offenses nowadays. This may be a nice change of pace for us and see if we can catch some defenses that have tilted their defensive roster to defending the pass more so than stopping the run. Should be interesting.

I think this might be the right time to bring them back. It will be fun to see how it plays out. Then they added Wayne Morris to that set and it became the Full House backfield for goal line plays. Yeah those were fun to watch and the current Cards can do the same with David J, Rookie Chase Edmonds, and whomever ends up with the FB position. Which currently only Derrick Coleman is listed at the FB position. Too bad Ramesh had to call it quits from the concussions.
But I can also see lots of passing with McCoy's O as well. You can not neglect using Fitz and David J in the passing game. How will C. Kirk and Chad Williams pan out too? And TJ Logan I think will have role there as well from the backfield. Maybe even DJ Foster too. And we have a boatload of young TE's as well. Gresham and Seals-Jones will get used in the passing game and not just be blockers. McCoy has used good TE's before like Antonio Gates. There are so many possibilities and players for the O to shine this season.
So yeah I think McCoy's O will be fun to watch. Lots of weapons to use in many different ways.

Preseason should be fun to watch this year. I see Rosen getting lots of snaps in the early games.
Can't wait.
