So far our Dline IMO has NOT been improved. Both guys we signed were considered liabilities to their former teams Well, I hope that's not the case DH. - A considerable amount has been invested in the two DT's and (at the very least) they need to provide us with a solid front against the run. - It could be they have limited success getting at the Quarterback, but then you are talking Christian Wilkins type of money. I am trusting that they will make a difference. Should Zer'zhan Newton be available in the draft (#27) then I would take him. Combined with the two new guys Newton would give us attack straight down the middle.

The more I think about it, the more I am baffled at the Deejay Dallas signing. I read immediate thoughts and saw Seattle fans were glad he was gone. I have a good friend that I followed up with and his comment was “we got scammed” lol. We have so many picks and I would think a late round pick on a guy who’s only contribution is a very mid level return man in a league that has done all they can to remove the importance of half of that persons job. (Kick returns) I have said for years, far more bad can happen on a kick off return than good. Penalty or fumble are much more likely than a return over 35 yards.
The punt return thing is not enough for me to bring this guy in. The few tackles he has had are not enough. Do they see a RB waiting to explode on the scene? By all accounts they would be something Seattle fans have not seen in 4 years.
We signed mid level guys last offseason that worked out. White and Hjolte. I will give them a chance and see if we got maybe 3 more similar out of this group as well as consistent and available depth for dline rotation.

I really hope this happens as we all do I'm sure. Now we just need to get a cornerback. Anything else other than a starting level cornerback is just going to be gravy in my opinion.

Now we’re talking! Gives flexibility with the draft and let it play out. Maybe they take the top IOL at 27. Maybe they still go OT there or one at 35, they can let their board come to them.

Been traveling all day and just heard the Jonah Williams news. That would be the first free agent to affect my draft strategy.

I wasn't seeing that flexibility until this most recent move. Apparently a few other teams were courting him too

Signing Jonah is at least a lateral move at LT...he only has to be as good as Hump. Williams is younger and almost 3000 snaps at LT in the NFL. Jonah is an LT and hated the move to RT last year. #11 overall pick from Alabama who is 26 and doesn't miss games. He had a great 2021 season when the Bengals were balanced in run/pass. 2022 and 2023 pass-heavy offense did him no favors as well as being forced to the right.
Monti is showing his understanding of the market and getting the best bang for the buck. This is a solid signing. Trench improvement.
