The guy is a punk and a poop talker but they won again by a fortunate for them mistake by the other team, a couple actually.

For the members who want to watch a replay of SB LVIII, here is the 21-minute YouTube condensed version. Tony Romo makes some funny comments. He is no fan of SF. I am going to spend some time reviewing the 49ers defenses vs the Chiefs offenses. The 49ers D was exceptionally sharp most of the game. What does DC Rallis have to do to make the Cardinals' defense equally fierce? To win the NFC West Division, the Cardinals have to be better than the 49ers. And it starts with the D. The 49ers Special Teams should have their own 'lowlight' replay. The ST cost the 49ers the SB last night. I was surprised to see Mahomes run as much as he did. He used body language a bunch of times to get the 49ers looking somewhere else several times. Good game overall. It's because their great Wr corp lol. oh they gave that up on losing Tyreek.

My thoughts are as follows: - Why did Shanahan go 6 for 6 in passes to open up the 2nd half ? - two straight 3 and outs with no time taken off clock
- 49ers ST's -- yikes, cost them 8 points. Why the punt returner tried to pick up the ball rather than just jumping on it, I will never know.
- When 49ers were driving at end of 4th qtr., did Karlaftis fake an injury to save the Chiefs a timeout and to help the Chiefs defense who were gassed ?
- Why didn't Shanahan put Kittle in one play earlier to prevent #9's holding penalty for the 49ers to bring back having the ball on the Chiefs 4 yd line with a first down -- TD there rather than a FG would have been HUGE !!!
- Greenlaw will most likely not be available to the 49ers this next year until mid - November or sol
- Wonder if Purdy will want a nice fat contract before 2024 season or wait until 2025 before getting paid big #'s and ruin the 49ers advantage to having a productive, minimum paid player at the QB position.
- As I stated before the game, Chiefs OL with a backup LG and a RT who led the league in holding penalties during the regular season - Chiefs called for ZERO holding penalties on the offense. Especially in 2nd half, saw a couple of 49ers shoot thru the middle of the line only to be tackled with no call - one thing I'll give Reid and the Chiefs is they do dare the refs to call holding and egregious "pick" play holding calls in 2nd half ... most times as was the case yesterday, no calls were made. If only the 49ers had held Chris Jones on a few plays where he made the difference and dare the refs to call holding.
Yeah a lot of holding penalties got ignored.

Yeah a lot of holding penalties got ignored. I always wonder if the Cards hadn't allowed the Chiefs to jump them and get Mahomes ... if Pat Mahomes was the QB of the Cardinals, would they not be called for holding or would the same ticky-tack penalties still go against our team.

See my other topic post on “Winning Championships From The Pocket”. Both DCs did their best at keeping the respective QBs in the pocket. Mahomes’s escapability was key…but his pocket play and reads were of Championship caliber. And Purdy also played well from the pocket. It’s something KM will have to better himself at if we are to eventually get that allusive Championship…and it’s proven to me year-in-and-year-out on Super Bowl Sunday…again…IMO.

I will never understand the compensatory pick process because it seems the NFL has discretion on how to dole these out -- how did CJ Beathard earn the 49ers a 7th rounder when he signed a measly 2 yr. $5M contract Is there actually a quantitative standard to these picks or is there a lot of subjectivity by the NFL in awarding these compensatory picks ? The 49ers have benefited greatly on compensatory picks being awarded for African American men being promoted to GM and coaching positions with other teams ... just stinks the Cardinals were not similarly rewarded in the past for Adele Harris (first African American female to hold a front office position in the NFL, Rod Graves first African American to be VP of Football Operations and Jen Welter the very first female coach in the NFL.

Yeah a lot of holding penalties got ignored. Pretty wild that the team that got called for holding the most suddenly fixes the problem for the playoffs...

Chiefs 20 SF 18. Won't watch any of the halftime show. Won't watch any of the pregame show either. Hmm... 22 -16 Chiefs. Was a Good Game to watch.

Mrs and Oldest son watched with me. They had lots of questions about penalties and why some are declined. Son is into NBA not NFL. Rare for him to watch a game of football.
