Seems like they should have signed him to more years at even a higher salary.

3rd team in 4 years is not exactly a ringing endorsement. Second round with Coach Wilks, that means something. Being avail this late after the year he had statistically is a bit odd. I know the market was odd for safeties, but Badger got snatched right up. There has to be something going on here, but the guy can play. If it was a character thing then you would think Wilks would pass. Interesting scenario but I am glad we got him.

after his tantrum calling the cards cheap and insulting they should have passed on him.
and polster I posted a way back on page two why its a one year minimum deal, because he he gets a vet exemption and only counts about 60% of his salary against the cap. the fact that no other team would even offer im the minimum tells you offering him more years and more money is not a good idea. he has been cut from his last two teams before his contract was up. his attitude about the cards offering him a job and he felt insulted shows its probably an attitude problem and he's gonna be a locker room cancer. if he is wilks should be held responsible. wilks didn't even think he was worth rookie contract money and cut him in his rookie contract once already, so he's all on wilks now. I hope I am wrong but I think the other 31 teams in the league were right, he's a mistake at any price.
