We’ll most likely end up drafting a Safety in the 2nd round next year. Even if Tre does ball out, I wouldn’t be surprised if cashes out with another team next year. Besides, he was pretty average in Carolina & just a little bit better in LA. Don’t think this signing was all that great.

Nice signing. We should be set at safety for a while. Mike Jurecki posted that we will be using 3 safeties on a lot of plays. Buddha, Boston, and Bethea.

Very pleased with this signing. I'm glad we signed him instead of Mike Mitchell.

Of course you try and give someone else the credit. Keim obviously called this one right and nobody else gave Boston more. All the moaning and groaning you did and they still got him. Great signing however it played out. Go back and read your posts, quite comical. Terry is the GM right now. Not Keim. Terry signed the contract. Keim isnt even allowed in the building. Ole fatty 9 pints accomplished nothing this offseason. Day 8 of his suspension and suddenly we land the biggest free agent out there? I say Terry Time, you say...who cares what you say, you empathize with a 2 time drunkard. Both of ya are irrelevant. Hey Zaz you know who's irrelevant? Us posting on a message board behind alias's. You know who's not irrelevant? The millionaire "boozebag" who you've spent hours possibly days of your life thinking about. Get a grip of reality and hop off your high horse.

Solid signing and this is why you keep cap space. The guy was asking for to much and priced himself out of the market.
For all those crying to just give DJ a big contract this is why you don't.

While I agree, the Gurley signing did not help our cause. Cards made the right call on this. For everyone so mad he left without signing, they got it right. Might have even manipulated the the situation with the Mitchell thing. Love it....

Tre Boston, S
The Panthers released Boston prior to the 2017 season despite the fact that he played well and actually started 10 games. The Chargers signed Boston and he finally secured a full-time starting role alongside Jahleel Addae. Boston played a career-high 1,047 snaps last season and set career highs in tackles (79), passes defended (eight), and interceptions (five). Unfortunately, Los Angeles selected Derwin James with the 17th pick in this year’s draft and have decided to let Boston test the free agent market once again.
The Indianapolis Colts had Boston in for a visit, but he left town without a contract. Still just 26 years old, Boston has shown very solid coverage skills, allowing just 48.4 percent of passes thrown into his coverage to be completed over four seasons. He also has put up seven picks in the last two years and 15 passes defended. There is DB2 potential regarding Boston as long as he can secure a full-time role on his new team.

3rd team in 4 years is not exactly a ringing endorsement.

That backfield better be iron-clad this season.
