Didn't miss a beat on offense with Murray, Hop Green and basically Edmonds, 5 missing. Piled up better than 430 yards on O and totally bottled up SF with our D. Three take away 5 sacks sure defused the 49er offense. Good game calling by KK. Made MCCoy feel real comfortable running the O. And what a day by Connor. He sure makes the O complete.

I for a fact did not see it coming...I saw a dog fight with colt throwing several picks...very happy tonight

Never saw it coming. Picked Cardinals to win 14-13 just because I couldn’t pick against them. I’ve underestimated them in most games.

I knew Colt would lead them to a win, but not by this much. The offensive system is really the special sauce, but nobody runs it as well as murray does.

I saw it coming. I thought they would dramatically change the style of playcalling to help Colt McCoy. I also know McCoy is extremely bright and can recognize plays quickly. When you combine the type of plays Kliff called for him and his own acumen, it worked out well. I think they also recognized their mistakes of not setting up the run. Klff probably didn't want Colt to get killed with long routes that puts more stress on the offensive line to hold their blocks.
You can still feel JJ's absence. I thought the pass rush and pressure would be better. That surprised me. It hasn't been the same since he has been out but I thought with time it could be better. Seems like a lot of fans want to criticize the secondary but the reality is they were not getting pressure on the QB. With JJ in there, a lot of those completions would have been sacks because he is so disruptive.

In all honesty, imho this was the most satisfying victory we have had all season. I did not think we had a chance! I thought our O would sputter at best and our D would fall to SF's fire power. I am so very happy to admit that I missed on all counts! This team is amazing!

Early turnovers and 17-0 lead was big and all the players on AZ that stepped up. AZ was more physical was the big surprise.

Kingsbury and McCoy both impressed me today.

Our defense definitely showed out today.
Last week, our players didn't wrap anyone up with tackles. Our guys were expecting people to fall over after getting hit. They didn't. Today, not only did we tackle better, but we absolutely attacked the ball. These guys are going for turnovers, and expecting them. If I was the opposition, if I was being wrapped up by a Cardinals defensive player, I wouldn't stay upright too long. That ball is gonna come out.
Our offense, especially Colt, took what the defense gave us. With K1, we threaten downfield so much, which makes him so fun to play. Today, Colt dumped off to Conner, and while he made some great one handed catches, he also took it to the house. Hopefully K1 can take a pointer or two from the grizzled vet. Sure, take the big shots that only he can make. But don't be afraid to let your play makers to actually make some plays in the short game.
Honestly, watching how fast the 49er LB corps was last time we played, I'm kinda surprised that our short game did so well. Colt did a great job of selling out the screen pass today.

Looking through everyone's comments, I'll focus on one theme. Colt doesn't win games himself, but he's one of the best 'distributors' in the business. While he can't do everything Kyler can, he doesn't have to. We have enough playmakers. In a way, it's almost an easier game for KK to call, because he can't run as many 'gimmick', or RPO plays. Colt will take what you given him and put the ball in Ertz/Connor's hands and that's all you can ask from a backup. Our record with Colt will be a function of how many games our Defense wants to show up for. I mentioned at the start of this season, that we'd acquired so much talent, that even a guy like Colt could probably win 8 or 9 and sneak a team into the playoffs.
The biggest Achilles heel for Colt over the years has been injuries. He was hurt bad in the National Championship game years ago, and his shoulder has never been quite the same. If anything, I think it forced him to grow up and rely more on his mind, than playing hero ball. As a coaches son, you know when he's healthy, you'll always get 100% and he will be prepared. While I don't think he could ever manage a team beyond say a Wildcard round, he's a bit of an annomaly in that he's never really been allowed to start, long term, because he has a high floor but a low ceiling. Which is why he's lasted so long in the league.
I think McCoy is actually better than some of the 'lower-rated' number ones yet never got his due because of his lower ceiling/injury history. If Murray is hurt as bad as I think he is, I'd actually Keep Murray out until the Bye week - giving him at least 3 more weeks of rest. Colt likely wins 1 of the next two, so at most we only lose 1. Losing 1 game for 3 more weeks (4 total) of healing is a trade off I'll take every day, especially with all the rivals losing today. And I'm actually a lot more worried about losing to Carolina than I am Seattle.
I also think Hopkins needs to continue to sit out and get his Hammy right. Heck, on off chance Colt could win the next two, I'd actually keep Murray out until the Rams game. It's not like Murray has 1 injury. He has three. His hand, his shoulder and whatever he did to his leg at the end of the Green Bay game.

I tell you what I didn't see coming.....the Titans beating the Rams (lol!). As for this game I felt confident we'd win.

A pass chart on another thread is incredible to analyze. 11 passes short of the LOS, only 2 past 10 yards, and 13 between the LOS and 10 yards out. 24 of 26 passes under 10 yards. All high percentage, which led to an 85% completion rate and no turnovers. Keeping it so simple and safe and trusting his receivers to get yards after catch. Kliff mixing in the run and quality blocks to set up yards after catch.

For those who aren't familiar with his tendencies, I posted a critique on CardDo's other "Outcoached" thread

I said it would end 24-20
Now Tennessee Clobbering the Rams I didn't see that coming.
