Didn't miss a beat on offense with Murray, Hop Green and basically Edmonds, 5 missing. Piled up better than 430 yards on O and totally bottled up SF with our D. Three take away 5 sacks sure defused the 49er offense. Good game calling by KK. Made MCCoy feel real comfortable running the O. And what a day by Connor. He sure makes the O complete. Well I do not believe the Cards defense bottled up the 49ers offense. Jimmy was able to throw all over the secondary with ease yesterday. The key were the turnovers. Jimmy would get hot and they would go down the field chunks of yardage play after play, then a turnover would happen. The defense at times were swiss cheese, its a concern IMO.

Wasn't a lot of that garbage time though? I mean, it was 31-7 at one point.

The Cards beat a good football team today and grew as a team. Great play overall. Hudson is an amazing center, Colt very knowledgeable about the game, defense is playing well, making plays. Yes, honestly I saw a better roster, better staff beat SF.

That one drive before half time they easily marched down the field and scored a TD. The same could of been done multiple times earlier in the game, but as I mentioned, turnovers stopped their progress.

I downloaded the game stats pdf from nfl.com and looking at each drive, the first fumble turnover happened (Kittles had the ball punched out) in the second offensive series for the 49ers. So again, that was critical. The second turnover was when they were cooking having 6 plays 68 yards so far in that drive. They were carving up the Cards defense, I remember that drive, then they fumbled again (Aiyuak had the ball punched out) and lost the ball. That was in the second quarter, then the very next series the 49ers easily carved up the Cards defense again, this time they scored a TD before halftime to bring them 17-7 at halftime. If they did not have those 2 turnovers in the first half, this could of been a very different game and outcome.

I see, I appreciate your deeper look into this.

The Card's D was on the field watching as the sky opened up and Kittle was struck with an irresistable urge to drop the ball. It "happened". Inexplicably....it happened again later in identical fashion to Aiyuk. www.revengeofthebirds.com/2021/11/9/22771792/anatomy-of-a-game-changing-turnover

Just 2 mistakes, both careless fumbles, did them in at quarters 1 and 2. Otherwise, the Cardinals are chasing the 49ers on the scoreboard. However, then the Cardinals scored a TD and put the game away early in the 3rd qtr. And that was that.

They put in extra time, practice and it showed. Someone probably functioned as a qb all week walking around with a football and then guys would punch it out and surprise that person who played qb. They made big plays and defenses need those to change the momentum.

Two people saw it coming VJ and K2. VJ running extra interior linemen on first downs and extra LBs on passing downs with 49ers heavy packages(Extra TEs and fullback) and creating turnovers. K2 calling quick edge throws and screens and short routes also the call last few weeks to challenge players to step up as starters go down there is an opportunity for others to step up and in. Conner and Eno answered the challenge also Harlow and Wesley. Defenders who stepped up were Vallejo, Allen, Mauro, and although he has been having a good rookie year, Wilson played well and physical although he got flagged for pretty damn good coverage.

Your response makes zero sense. I already mentioned the turnovers, what does that have to do with the 49ers offense carving up the Cards defense early in the game and not during garbage time? Why are you lauding the 9ers efforts When the final score makes it obvious the Cardinal O was the ones doing the "carving"? The turnovers were premeditated by the Cardinal D and executed to perfection. Yet you seem focused on giving the 9ers kudos for scoring a td in the 1st half.

He wants you to give more credit to the defense for the turnovers. I get your point though, you cannot count on getting turnovers all the time, so containing those drives altogether would have been better.

It's nice having a team that gets out ahead early after years of watching us play from behind.
The worm has turned.
