The Suns overcame referee Scott Foster (CP3 said during the last series he was 0-11 when Foster does one of his games) whom I believe is actually the ref that talked the other official into the call of Beverly knocking the ball out of bounds from Booker as out on DB. If that is actually the case then EVERY time a player reaches in to tip a ball and it goes out of bounds, then 100% of the time is (under super, super slow-mo) it does touch the dribblers outside part of his hand prior to going out. BTW: Scott Foster is the official who called the ridiculous 2nd call on D'Book when he turned to shoot a 2 footer under the basket when T. Mann leaned his face under
As it turned out - Paul George choked with the free throws (which could affect him for the rest of the series -- remember Nick Anderson with the Shaq-led Orlando Magic) and of course it set up the .09 "Valley-oop" to Ayton... so I guess in a way I am thanking Scott Foster ??
Incidentally -- Beverly intentionally leaned in with the top of his head (rather than the natural movement of turning one's head) to strike Booker's face. I know Doug Franz is on 98.7 with this take but I actually thought it was done intentionally after watching that play about half-a-dozen times. Patrick Beverly = Draymond Green - someone who acts like they get shot and fall down when a forearm glances a blow against their chin and premeditates a move to injure someone in a way that is hard to pick up during live action.
