He never should have been hired in the first place. Guy never was any good as an O coordinator. Same with Wilks. Another one who was hired when he wasn't ready to be a head coach.

We were too late to the coach hiring party last year. All the winners were gone and we had to hit the bargain bin (Wilks) and the scratch and dent sale (McCoy) to put a staff together.

I didn't vote, but can't say I'm surprised with the results. Believe me, if he were to be fired, I would shed no tears.
The thing is, OC's or DC's for that matter, rarely get fired mid season. It does happen, but I can't recall it happening in their first year.
I'm afraid we may well be stuck with him for the entire season. Firing him this soon would mean that the guy that hired him admitting….I am and don't know what I'm doing. I don't see that happening.
We did do better this game, but we had such a low standard to beat. So that's not saying much.
Since we are going to be stuck with McCoy for awhile, I will hope he can learn from his mistakes.
On a lighter note and concerning McCoy....maybe he reads this forum. We all remember the 3rd and 2 late in the bears game and how that turned out. I made a comment in a thread if it were up to me, I would have put in both DJ and our fullback. Well, late in this game under the same circumstances, McCoy did just that...and it worked....maybe the guy can learn....
