its a trifecta ......i`ve got on my 1.75`s I noticed that TJ has claimed the KO return spot. I like that! And Wilks and Ray Brown have cleaned house on our O-line too. DJ Hump, Iupati, Wetzel, and Munyer are all that are left from the BA era. So posters can't really compare this O-line to the past any more.

All new QBs, 2 starting Olinemen...the BA/Palmer era is over.
I will throw this mistake out there one last time. Posters from the old board know I wanted Chad Kelly picked in round 5 or later. More than Keim/BA’s love of Lynch. Now Lynch is available and Kelly, picked at the end of the 7th round, looks legit. We needed a QB that draft and Kelly would have been so low risk, high reward. But we got Will Holden in the 5th, who is now gone, instead of a potential QBOF.
But maybe things all work out. Maybe we wouldn’t have traded to get Rosen if Kelly had been here and looked promising.

He said if Lynch is there they are taking him but Denver beat them to it. But we did end up with RK so we didn't do much better. In fact we blew the whole draft.

But then do we end up with Rosen?? crazy how different things could be in so many cases. #90 is all pro on the sideline team

Makes you wonder why they kept Dawson. McCrane is young and better suited for 2019 and beyond. If Dawson pull hooks a 40-yarder or two early we might see McCrane again, assuming another kicker somewhere else doesn't beat Dawson to the punch and McCrane gets the call somewhere else. Amos isn't around to kick around anymore, so Dawson has no excuses.

Isn't McCrane now on the PSquad? If so he's the one that will replace Dawson if Dawson falters this season. And then have a real shoy at being next years Kicker. EDIT: just looked he's not on the PSquad as of this time. nope..and nobody picked him up either..lol..maybe he`s not as good as we think..lol I'm pretty certain he will get some auditions during the season as kicking game units not coached by Amos Jones look to replace non-performing kickers.

Still the old reliables to fall back on though: bad snap, poor hold, bad turf - - -

Thoughts..
Offense will do well with the dink and dunk. Bradford will not have any serious injuries. DJ will have over 2000 yards total YFS. Fitz will have 65+ receptions, Kirk will start slow but end the season with 800+ yards. All other WR’s and TE’s will “suck”. Rosen will get several starts late in the season. The offense will play ball control keeping the defense well rested.
Defense will play well. Finish in the top half of the league.
ST will be much better. Dawson will miss a few and will retire at the end of the season.
Diche will disappoint most of the season..
Unfortunately the team won’t make the playoffs.. but will beat the Seahawks and 49ers at home. All in All it will be a good 1st season for Coach Wilks
Go Cards!!

This team will be a lot better than what most people and the "experts" are saying. We are going to "Shock The World" again

I'm a self confessed homer and proud of it. However.... before preseason started, I had hopes for maybe a playoff spot. While there were bright spots in preseason, mainly defense and ST's. I was not that impressed. Lets face it, the offense never really took off. Preseason is preseason, so its hard to judge how well we will do. Obviously, we were not showing a real game plan, just basic plays. The reasons for my concerns come from the players that were cut. I'm not saying they should not have been cut, but wow, some of these guys were suppose to be good. Then when you consider, only one guy that was cut has been picked up..... linkApparently, we had a bunch of guys on our preseason roster that no one wants. At this time, we now have 5 undrafted rookies on our team. I'm not sure what that says, buts that's got to be unusual if not a outright concern. Now don't get me wrong, maybe this is all good. We are getting rid of the deadwood that shouldn't be here in the first place, and trying to find guys that should be here. I guess my point is.....we have more question marks than I thought.

McCrane has a try out with the Jets. I don't think we will ever see him again kicking for the Cards.

McCrane has a try out with the Jets. I don't think we will ever see him again kicking for the Cards. I have to say, I'm having night mares about this already. Dawson may do just fine this year, but he can't kick forever. We are rebuilding. Why not do it with a young kicker that did everything right. And....some say....well he had no pressure. The guy is a rookie....he is trying to make the team, or really any team. Maybe it was not pressure to win a game, but pressure to make a decent living. To me, that's a lot of pressure.
