OK. Information came out about the contract. 1 year, 2M, 0 guaranteed. That puts his salary on par with the 28th-30th centers in the league.
That seems like a great deal actually. Gives him some assurances that he can compete coming back and gives us some options in the future. If he doesn't work out, we cut him with 0 lost. So there is absolutely NO reason why we shouldn't have done this. Shows good will without costing us anything moving forward regardless of whether he can come back and win the spot or not.
