Ahh yes the famous Allen Iverson practice model. Yep. and different people are going to react differently to that. I imagine fans who call PP "a diva" will probably get mad at Hop for not practicing. Also call him a diva, because they are unimaginative. I have 0 problem with a player not practicing, so long as they bring it on gameday. Furthermore, I dont believe in "mentors" or leading by example. Players of any age should be able to self motivate.

I don't LIKE it! I don't like it at all. I very much hope Larry rubs off on him in a big way.

This has got to be the best quote from NFL.COM mobile app.
“ DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Arizona Cardinals How he was acquired: Traded from Houston to Arizona (along with a 2020 fourth-round pick) in exchange for RB David Johnson, a 2020 second-round pick and a 2021 fourth-rounder.
The only thing missing from this transaction was a ski mask and a gun. Steve Keim robbed the Texans. I still can't believe this trade actually went down.”

If hop wants to take days off during week he should provided he has the playbook/game plan mastered for that week.

If hop wants to take days off during week he should provided he has the playbook/game plan mastered for that week. The both of you could not be more wrong IMO. He's coming in to a new system with a whole new team, and that would be a terrible look for any player, let alone a top hand that's supposed to set an example for the rookies and younger guys. On top of that it would be disrespectful to KK and all of the coaches, especially the WR coaches. Possibly neither of you have experienced or even seen something like this in your own working life? Here's what happens in a group setting, (and we're talking about a large group here): People SEE what's happening every work day and they know who is being a slacker and who is not. Inevitably some start asking the totally obvious question. WHY? How come it's OK for this guy to not have to put out as much effort as everybody else? If "supervisors" are allowing it, then they have to try to cover things over as best they can with BS, and the other workers KNOW it's BS. Then it starts creating rifts. EVERY. TIME. PERIOD. It's divisive.

For all those that are actually pointing a finger at Hopkins work ethic during the week I will leave you with this. I work in the sales industry and there are constant product changes that require daily training and updates along with reviews of customer profiles to insure we are on top of the market. With that being said, there are individuals that are very adept at selling our products regardless of how many meetings they attend. We don't force the attendance issue with these individuals because the production is always there, week in and week out.
My motto has always been YDFWYS which translates to You Don't F*** With Your Superstars. I could care less how much Hopkins practices as long as he kicks ass on game day. He's that kind of talent.

It doesnt get any better then this. This was a coup of epic proportions. The Texans organization as a whole are interested very much in a certain character trait they want. Good luck with that!! The NFL is full of misfits and borderline criminals. Think about it. David Johnson and his contract gone and a bonafide #1 WR in his place and the second round pick is somewhat mitigated by the 4th we get.
