Really nice to see. He was the highest rated Olineman in the NFL after game one preseason and in game two got a 92 on PFF.
He looks a lot leaner this year meaning he actually worked out and is taking his game seriously again.
The last couple of years he was just collecting a paycheck and was fat, lazy and injured.
I see a big year out of Mike and probably a pretty healthy one too.
Along with Justin Pugh we got two guys that can pull and be effective.

And not a moment too soon either. That interior line has to remain stout while Cole grows out of his rookie growing pains. I have a feeling they will be running the ball to the right a lot with Iupati being pulled since that's the right side's strength.

Great to see, would like to see it last for more than a couple quarters of pre season. It’s more about health with him.

Of course any injury can happen at any time. But Mike looks dedicated again to his craft. Check his belly , it's pretty well flat. He has looked disinterested the last couple of years and I thought he would retire. But he's setting his sights again on a new contract.

We have the making of a solid line aside from Andre Smith. If we can put an extra blocker over there to help him out, our QB should be protected.

Actually on David's 9yd TD scrum it was Pugh that pulled and he and Iupati with Hump formed the wall that David stayed behind. So the RG is more likely to be the pulling G from what we've seen in PS. Doesn't mean Iupati won't, just that so far it's been Pugh.

It also does help that he is playing in a more run-oriented offense again with quick passes instead of long-developing plays which embraced his weakness in pass-blocking.

Glad to see him back. If he is the old Mike from his Frisco days it sure would help the rookie next to him. Also help the running game quite a bit.

Nice article in AZ central that confirms my thread.
Mike is playing pissed this year after all he heard on social media about being fat and lazy. Was probably reading my threads about him.
Whatever it takes Mike looks like a monster this year and will have an all-pro season.
