I did not like Bryant's style of play versus my favorite Spurs team but I did admire his knowledge of the game and his skills. The NBA lost a HUGE legend today. RIP, Kobe.

He had a very high basketball IQ which you need to play his position in the triangle offense.

One of the All Time Greatest NBA PLAYERS
Bless his family. He also lost his daughter in the helicopter crash. As well as the others on board.

What a tragedy. One of the best, far too young. And his 13 yr old daughter too. Prayers for his wife and remaining three daughters.

Absolutely terrible.
My wife got me pilot lessons for Christmas. Needless to say, she is regretting that purchase after today.
Also TMZ are absolute scumbags. There is nothing lower on the planet than these parasites.

There is nothing lower on the planet than these parasites. Totally agree about TMZ They are a tabloid and never have been a class news organization. The claim an exclusive on this story which is shameful. Nothing exclsuive about losing loved ones in such a tragedy. Those losers dont even know what his position is with the team. I stopped reading at that. Enough about TMZ 9 people lost their lives and all of them mean so much to their families. They mean a lot to us as fans as well.

I'm really interested in what happened. Said the copter caught fire then spun in. Well for one the weather was not good. 9 people on board plus luggage I bet S-76 was probably very close perhaps maybe over gross. This copter has two engines so there is some redundancy but when **** goes wrong especially at low level there is very little time to enter an autorotation. Insurance for heli is crazy compared to fixed wing.

The Police are screaming angry at TMZ TMZ did not wait until next of kin were notified. They just went with the story.
Another disgrace as usual by the media.

RIP.
He was a good dude and always grew after making mistakes.I feel so bad for his wife and family. He looked like he was a great father and his daughters loved him.
Was at a sushi spot eating lunch when the news broke all of the staff were crying it was surreal.

Definitely one of the best to ever play the game. Never rooted for the Lakers because I'm a die hard Suns fan but there is no denying his greatness and what he did for the game of basketball.
