Saw that yesterday posted on several football pages. Chan Jones is a monster. If he is the sack leader two years in a row he will have to get the recognition he deserves

If he is the sack leader two years in a row he will have to get the recognition he deserves That could lead to another contract dispute. C.J. may want not only the recognition, but a new contract, recognizing his value. I’d rather he didn’t lead the league in sacks. Maybe 2nd or third would be ok. I am tired of players wanting new deals based on their performance, after they have already been awarded a huge contract. I realize that not all players have these ambitions but every agent does.

He seems to be one of the few who Bill B let go, who goes on to be even better somewhere else.

Geez Roos, you worry an awful lot about MB's money!

As you have said, it’s important to spread the money around a bit. Rather than the top 3-4 players eating up a huge percentage of the available cap.. I think MB has plenty of money..

After watching the clip I'm convinced the attaching pin or bolt that is supposed to retain the top pad part was either not in place or was about to fall out anyway. Like putting a trailer hitch ball and drawbar on a truck but forgetting to install the retention pin.
If you check the last part of the clip it shows the square tubing sticking out at the bottom of the pad, with a hole for securing it to the sled with some kind of mechanical lock - but it is an open hole, no bolt or pin visible.
Notice also that Jones is pushing upward as much as forward, which dislodged the top pad. Anyone think this was a setup? Or just lazy assembly by whoever puts them together?
Looks impressive if you don't have a doubting mind though...

Thank goodness he didn't get a freak injury when he fell over the rest of it.

Yep, he could have done that all too easily.

I was skeptical too. If that thing was working right, it would have to be able to take twice as hard a hit as any single dude could deliver. Still, the clip made it on to CNN!

IMHO no way it was a set up he could have got hurt. Those pads do come off from time to time but it still looked cool.
