Wow. Throwing INTs in practices. What a bust. You sure showed me. A 2nd year QB throwing 7 INTs in 6 practices. Notable enough to be a story. I dont see any stories about rookie Rosen throwing a pick-fest.

Then it won't take but 4 wins to make you happy! Will you be less pessimistic if the Team does? im a loooong time fan...I guess im always pessimistic b4 season because my hopes have been shattered many times by the cards. Jeff I started watching the Cards in '68. I lived in St.Clair Mo, 50 miles out of St.Louis. Out of HS ('70) I went to work for Chrysler truck plant in Fenton Mo. We have Much in common. Except I try to stay optimistic even after all these years.

(Mahomes threw 29 interceptions across 32 college starts)

Looks like it may have been a blessing KC jumped us to get him last year. I think it was stated the Cardinals may have wanted to draft him too.

Keim wanted Allen. Keim likes big armed QBs. Its why he wanted Mahomes. Instead we "got left with" the cerebral QB who works out with Aaron Rodgers. Oh well. I guess we'll manage.

I'm very interested to see how the earlier drafted QB's are going to pan out, if any get to start and play this year.

I have heard the name Hardcastle. I quit Chrysler in 1978 and moved to IL. for the 1st time. Used to go to Pacific to Lazy Larry's Discount store. Remember it? It may have been closed before '99 though. I should've stayed at Chrysler. 30 years and out with a full pension would've been sweet. I could've retired at age 48 in 2000. Decisions you make when you are young.... I think this year is going to better than most media and fans think. I just have to hope.

Four to six wins seems about right.

Don't know why you feel the need to include Aaron Rodgers when talking about Josh Rosen. They don't play anywhere near the same style. Rodgers is the most dangerous QB throwing from outside of the pocket. Rosen is more comparable to a guy like Eli Manning, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Also making claims of Mahomes being a bust for throwing interceptions in practice is straight up jumping the gun. Just think about the other side of your stance and see all of the Qbs who apparently looked great in practice yet folded on game day. It's funny how you brought up Mahomes interceptions in college (29 ints in 32 starts) without also mentioning that he threw 93 touchdowns. That's more than a 3 to 1 TD/INT ratio. Rosen threw 26 interceptions in 30 collegiate starts, while throwing 180 less passes than Mahomes, so you can accurately say that Rosen threw more interceptions per pass attempts. However, does any of this mean anything? Of course it doesn't. Let's just wait and see these QBs play in meaningful games before passing judgments.

However, does any of this mean anything? Of course it doesn't. Let's just wait and see these QBs play in meaningful games before passing judgments. 1. They are both white pocket QBs. I can understand Cam Newton and Mike Vick having different styles where they can run 50 yards downfield. But Eli/Aaron/Rosen/Ben/Warner are pretty much the same. They just have different levels of success. And Russ Wilson is the best outside-the-pocket QB. Check PFF. Its not close. 2. Not throwing 9 INTs in 8 practices is better than throwing 9 INTs in 8 practices. Sure it might not "mean anything". But its certainly not a good thing. And we arent hearing stories of any other QBs throwing 9 INTs. To my knowledge Rosen has thrown zero. 3. College is over. Just like guys who got 20 sacks per year in college come to NFL and get zero sacks. NFL time is all that matters. And as of the start of NFL time, Mahomes has thrown 9 INTs in 8 practices. Rosen has thrown 0

I really think it worked out for the best for the Cards and the quarterback they ended up with. Rosen reminds me of the Mannings, Brady and Rodgers more than any other rookie or 2nd year qbs mentioned earlier in this thread. Mahomes just seems like that wild, strong armed qb like Josh Allen who will have a career and score some touchdowns but will also get picked off quite a bit. But now, Josh Rosen, he reminds me of a good pocket passer with incredible velocity on his throws and the ability to show touch with his passes. I know his passes have been clocked in the 60s mph. The best thing about Rosen is his study habits . He reminds me of how Peyton Manning was in that area. Lamar Jackson just doesn't remind me of that guy. In last night's game, he was getting sacked. Not able to process quickly, and the fact that these defenders aren't college guys anymore really showed. He has that bust factor written all over him. He'll learn to be more decisive when he takes off to run and end up another RGIII, injured by being a running quarterback.

Do you really think this team can win 6 games ? Your optimistic .....lol....More like 3 if there lucky. Right now we have the #1 pick in the draft, and I don't see us winning enough to give it up. Matter of fact I hope we don't. Were not going anywhere this year, and probably next year also. Might as well get something out of a lost year. Trade that #1 pick for two 1st and a 2nd. Get a head start on the rebuild this team needs.
