The worst draft pick in recent memory for me would be Logan Thomas. I said on draft day that we passed over the LB this team desperately needed for a player that would never contribute for this team. Makes me sick to this day that we didn't take Telvin Smith with that 4th round pick. . As far as worst first round pick, most of the linemen we've selected could be thrown into this conversation. Cooper might be the worst of the bunch. Levi at least started for us in the SB, Cooper contributed next to nothing.Andre Wadsworth is another terrible high first rounder.
The best would have to be Fitz, Peterson, with Simeon Rice and Eric Swann also worth mentioning.

The best Is Fitz. The worst was Andre Wadsworth. The Cards rejected many offers from teams wanting to move up to get him. The best rookie UDFA signing after the draft was Jim Hart. In Wadsworths defense, his knee was made of glass. If not, he and Swann would have been dominant together.

Whats up with the poll? Isnt the whole point of message boards to post threads and discuss.? Bet he just wanted to see what a poll looked like on the new and improved forum. Your point is right on though - everyone can participate as much or as little as they desire. There is room at this table for all!

Wadsworth was one of those "had to" picks, everything said he was going to be great. Same thing with Rosen this year, it doesn't matter what ultimately happens because it was a no brainer that the Cardinals had to pounce. And lest anyone think he was not a good player, look up the 1999 playoff game against the Cowboys to see what might have been. Had a pretty good game as I recall. I don't think it was a matter of the want with Wadsworth but rather a lousy knee. Same thing with Rosenbach, he tore up his knee in training camp in 1991 after having a solid 1990 season. Maybe a comparison to Bradford is in order there. Thankfully the Cardinals had Tom Tupa on the roster to cushion the blow of losing Rosenbach.
I like to limit my bust lists to guys who either just can't play or are otherwise unable to make the commitment to succeed. So Bryant is probably my choice, in the Arizona years which is what I thought the thread was asking. Oh and sorry but I'm cleaning up the vomit on my keyboard from the latest defense of Checkdown Leinart, that it was all Kenny's fault for not just handing him the job and kissing his hindquarters. I could accept that if Leinart went on to have a decent career somewhere else, but it was same old Leinart in Houston and Oakland, followed by a cushy studio job. Leinart ended up right where he was destined.

Fitz, Patrick Peterson, and Rosen I believe will prove to be huge. They'll some huge years together I truly beleive even if Larry has talked retirement in the past. I have to say, the move Keim made to trade up for Rosen was almost eerie like he is going to win a SB with Rosen. Rosen has that Manning, Rodgers type look and a canon arm.

There's not enough invested or expected for the "bust" label to be attached.

If we are going to say that Levi is the worst pick because Adrian Peterson was available, then we also have to look at the available picks when Fitz was selected. I believe that there is no question that Fitz is the greatest Cardinal of the Arizona era, but consider that we could have selected Philip Rivers or Big Ben. QBs are the most important players in the NFL, and Philip and Ben are consistently high performers. We also already had an extremely talented wide receiver, Anquan Boldin, who would have thrived with either Ben or Philip. Based on this I would consider Patrick Peterson our best pick and Levi our worst.
