Would have to agree with Fitz of course but, I haven't seen anyone mention M. Leinart. It was more my hopes I guess and the sad reality of it just not working out. I really thought we feel into some good luck getting him. I moved to az in 2006 and became a fan when they made a superbowl run. Had some wonderful moments, doing the backyard boogie, during that season....neverfelt close to a football team till that season and never gonna forget that 08 eagles game that sent us to the SB. What an ending eh? Remained a fan during the qb carousel of kolb, skelton, anderson, hall blah blah blah. The one common denominator was fitz, aka old faithful.

if Namath had actually played for cards-he would have been my choice for best draft pic just ahead of larry. worst was steve psarcewiec(I know its spelled wrong).

tim rosenbaugh has to be the biggest flop. was supposed to the next johnny u, but took 1 big hit and was to scared to play from then on. might as well have lined up a cheer leader behind center.

Best is Larry Wilson. He rewrote how a safety was used back then and onto this day.
Davis actually turned out to be a pretty good guard for the hated Cowgirls. He was misused by the Cards as a LT. Larry Wilson was a 7th round pick.

For me, the saddest part of an exercise like this is that we have so many, many bad first round picks to choose from ... and so few first round hits. My choice for worst first round picks: 1978 P Steve Little (yes, a punter) - picked 15; career numbers (33 games): 125 punts, 38.5 yd avg 1984 WR Clyde Duncan - picked 17th; career numbers (19 games): 4 rec, 39 yards, 1 TD 2002 DT Wendell Bryant - picked 12th; career numbers (29 games): 28 tackles, 1.5 sacks My choice for best first round picks: 1969 DB Roger Wherli - picked 15th, career numbers (193 games): 40 interceptions, 19 fumble recoveries, 2 TDs, 7 Pro Bowls, 5 All-Pro, Hall of Fame (2007) 1979 RB Ottis Anderson - picked 8th; career numbers (182 games): 2,563 rushes, 10,273 yards, 81 TDs, 376 rec, 3,062 yds, 5 TDs, 2 Pro Bowls, 1 All Pro 2004 WR Larry Fitzgerald - picked 3rd; career numbers (218 games): 1,234 rec, 15,545 yds, 110 TDs, 11 Pro Bowls, 1 All Pro

Gotta go with Kelley Stouffer, the 1987 first round pick of the St. Louis Football Cardinals. After the pick, a noted St. Louis radio announcer declared, "Oh my god, they've picked a girl!" He sat out the year in a salary dispute(typical of the Cards) and was traded the next year to the Seachickens.

The best rookie UDFA signing after the draft was Jim Hart. Too true!

Aeneas Williams and Adrian Wilson deserve some honorable mention. For 3rd round picks they were beyond fantastic.

What was wrong with Larry Wilson and coach Wilkinson.

Fitz and Peterson I think are tops in the last 20years. Cooper and Bryant were major blunders. Leinart and Levi Brown were mismanaged IMO.

I can’t imagine being a fan of a team that would do that. You people were die hards.
