The Folder 'settings' was out of date, reflecting the former Social Issues Folder when I shut it down last Fall. Weird Stuff Folder settings are updated as of February 8th. You and all members now have full access to all Weird Stuff folder features: review, post, poll, etc. - P |

I'm posting this idea again for all members to consider: volunteer your IT services. The Forum banner needs attention; ProBoards s/w is available. This is the off-season now and a good time to refurbish the Forum storefront format. A lively storefront gets attention, attracts new fans and guests, and demonstrates team enthusiasm.
The refurbishment idea was approved in mid 2021, ref posts. Please text me via PM if interested. Thanks.

P Hi, Funky - good to have you post here now and then.
Kind of obvious that lethargy has set in, isn't it?  Evidently we are all a bunch of technical idiots as nothing has changed since Reignman did his magic as a favor, and nobody has stood up and volunteered their Technical/HTML expertise. I would try it if not so old and no longer able to keep up and learn, but time takes it's toll. As you point out there are things to fix, plus things to help make the forum attractive and not appear neglected
to viewers who visit or return. I have "talked" with Reignman and he is a guy with more commitments and interests than capacity. He also has a life to live and is not obligated to us, despite his prior help. IMO it would take a nuclear burst of inspiration for
him to again become involved with this forum, and as an actual doer of stuff. Complicated stuff.
Impressive stuff. Arty stuff. Tech stuff. But you know that, since he has also done it for your Purple Pain forum site. There are too few of his ability and helpful nature. Talkers like me, and doers like Reignman.
The one member (Sillysoft) who might have helped us has left the forum, and he's missed. No idea why he departed. Maybe he gave up on us?
I guess we are much like the Cardinals reputation - 'good enough' is good enough. Sad, isn't it?  Thanks for dropping in and commenting. All input welcome.

I was getting a "Banned IP Address" notice a for a few hours last night. Any idea what that was about? That makes no sense. Were you unknowingly using a proxy network to log-in? Forced tunneling? Hoping servers? Just throwing ideas around. I'm clueless. |
