I have been waiting for this the whole season. I really thought that Zay would have done much better...he has done nothing!!!! As far as Dortch is concerned...he has had a lot more targets than Zay or Weaver. I am trying to figure these stats out...
Marvin
Targets: 78 Receptions: 41 Receiving Yards: 606 Receiving Touchdowns: 7
Trey
Targets: 92 Receptions: 73 Receiving Yards: 781 Receiving Touchdowns: 0
Wilson
Targets: 55 Receptions: 37 Receiving Yards: 416 Receiving Touchdowns: 3
Dortch
Targets: 38 Receptions: 25 Receiving Yards: 193 Receiving Touchdowns: 1
Zay
Targets: 2 Receptions: 1 Receiving Yards: 3 Receiving Touchdowns: 0
Weaver
Targets: 1 Receptions: 0 Receiving Yards: 0 Receiving Touchdowns: 0 (On the one target thrown to Weaver, he was open...Kyler threw the ball over his head)
Can someone explain to me why we have 2 WR's on the 51 man roster that have a combined 3 targets? That is a horrendous use of 2 players on the roster...J.G., Petzing and Kyler are to blame for this bad use of these 2 WR's...no wonder Zay has done nothing this season...
I’m shocked Dortch has 25 receptions. Feels more like 10 with one being meaningful. I’m shocked our WR2 has 23 less targets than our WR1 but only 4 less receptions.

I’m shocked Dortch has 25 receptions. Feels more like 10 with one being meaningful. In defense of Dortch, he has the guts and will of McBride, but lacks equal physical size. This year he has only started 2 games and been targeted half as often as MHJr, yet his catch % is higher. In the past he has been reliable, mostly in short yardage, last option, high traffic situations where the hits are hard - but he didn't falter. He has been used less as time passes since we have finally moved toward more and taller receivers, but nobody should question his will to win and effort. For his size, he's a more versatile standout than other small receivers we have had and has the ability to get open in coverage. It's a case of "what have you done for us lately" I suppose, but he earns his relatively low pay - and runs back kicks on ST in the meantime. A good guy I would not like to see leave, but situations and conditions change. He has the Budda Baker mentality, which is something worth remembering and considering come decision time.

Dortch is a Gannon man. JG demands intelligence, speed, and violence. More of that, please.

Let me tell you what is truly shocking...when our #3 WR of 2008 has receiving yards that more than likely surpass our #1, #2 and #3 WR's of 2024.

He's a lovable little guy who gives his everything all the time.
