I was out of town; a little late here but here goes. An exciting game, and one that was never in doubt. Can't say that too often.
Kyler Murray looks like a QB who has finally matured. The way he is playing is not how I envisioned success for him. They "system" seems like it's almost made for a marginal QB your trying to protect. But it will protect him over time and the talent is clearly evident. Not running as much or slinging it down the field will protect his body over time. He's bought into it that' the important thing. AND it works.
Trey Benson is finally popping. Took off that David Johnson mask. He's big and breaking tackles (like he should be).
Kevin Beachum is the unsung hero on this football team. He took a lot of flak after game one. I remember calming everyone down, for some reason I had faith the guy would come through. He has.
We have a very solid Oline which is driving the success of the team.
We have a very well coached disciplined team. I love (and notice) that we don't take a lot of penalties.
Marvin Harrison Jr. hasn't had to be a savior on this team and that's important. Sign of a better team and program.
Monti's draft picks are popping. Could never say that about Keim.
Garrett Williams wears number 21. He's not as talented as PP but looks like he actually tackles, covers well and doesn't act like a DIVA.
Aaron Rodgers played his last game here. Say what you want of him he's one of the all time greats, but Father Time has caught up to him. Love the guy though. He thinks for himself, and if you're a mainstream media lemming you probably don't like that.
We had a very tough schedule to open the season, now we have one of the easiest ones based on W-L. I don't buy much into this but we are peaking right now and hope this bye week doesn't kill momentum.

I never realized how much I look forward to the Aris Monday Morning QB write ups until I didn’t see one yesterday! Nothing I disagree with here. The Oline is earning my respect in the same way the defense is…not a lot of perceived individual talent but are playing so well together the sum seems greater than the parts. That speaks to coaching, system, and buy in. In the most recent player interviews you can’t miss the buy in. The game is fun right now for these guys, not a job. You see that in winning teams.

I am all for getting an experienced QB Ryan Tannehill was an example I mentioned in my Priority thread I can't go into the playoffs with Clayton Tune as my starter if it ever gets to that.

Garrett Williams is a real talent and is getting better and better whilst learning his craft. This was another super draft signing and we took on a player who was went artificially low (#72) due to injury. Our Secondary is looking good with all the younger talent within and has they collectively blossom, it is exciting for the future. Maybe another addition will follow in the 2025 draft and (if so), based on past recruitment, I am entirely confidant that a good choice will be made.

I loved how he pancaked that Jet's WR to intercept the ball on Sunday. Nevermind that Garrett was flagged for PI. He sent a message to all WRs that he will go through them to get the ball if he has to. That means a hard hit is coming either early, on time, or later. But, it's coming.

I dunno if I've ever read that here. BUT I AGREE.

Now he's w/ the 9ers... He's pretty fast and shifty and can pass the ball...at least he's been seen and you know what you got. Now, i'm not saying he's incredible or any such foolishness, but if your starter went down you'd at least have a chance. He did beat the Cowboys last year too, so maybe that's why I liked him...Lol

Who's the guy we traded to Minnesota last year. He's good in the short term. Get him back!! Joshua Dobbs. - He is sat on the 49ers main roster, listed on their Depth Chart as third QB.

I would also make the case that the WR faked contact by CB Garrett. Note the WR's feet and knees. He had an odd-looking fall before the ball arrives, almost like he decided to fall down, forcing a referee to decide quickly about PI. A PI call is not reviewable after the NFL owner's rules change in 2019.

Dobbs was simply not a good short term for us. I think we “loved” Dobbs because he beat the hated Cowboys, who were 2-0 at the time and that allowed us to puff our chests for a moment. The truth is he went 1-7 as a starter for us, with 8 passing TDs in 8 games along with 5 INTs and 8 fumbles. His passing yards per attempt was a measly 5.9. Then he was traded, while keeping Tune, when Kyler was on the way back. Dobbs and a conditional 7th for a 6th. That tells you what they thought of him. Yes he started strong for the Vikings and was the talk of Minnesota…for two weeks. He ended starting 4 games for them, going 2-2. He was then benched for superstar Nick Mullins, after starting 10-23 for 63 yards and no points against the Raiders. In his 7 year career, Dobbs is now 3-11 in 14 starts.

He's an engineer and can quickly assimilate into a system. He's perfect for Penzing. We got the running game and mostly short passing. He did pretty good with very little here. I was impressed. No backup will be great. I think Dobbs is a big upgrade over Tune.
