This is an excellent Cardinals highlights video. The Cardinals were lucky and good at exactly the right times and won this game, 24-23. SF turned the ball over 3 times. Each turnover theoretically cost the team between 3 and 7 points. The last SF INT slammed the door shut and ended the 49ers comeback game. We need to also account for Gannon's play-calling decisions that turned out to be huge. The 2-point conversion was a masterstroke and gave the Cardinals the lead. Lastly, I must tip my hat to MO for signing a new kicker this week. Arizona had a FG kicker who made kicks. SF was stuck with no kicker during the game.

This game against the Packers is probably the most important game of our season?

You're thinking...why is that?

If we can win this game, we stay ahead of the 49ers regardless if they win or lose against the Seahawks. Do not forget that we have zero losses to our NFC West opponents. If the 49ers beat the Seahawks on Thursday Night Football, we will be in first place in our division...that for us will be the kind of motivation that our team needs to win more games.

Someone posted how the 49ers were limping into the game because of injuries. Their Kicker got injured. What about our Kicker? That is a wash. Did our Kicker get a punt or field goal attempt blocked and run back for a TD? The 49ers offense included Aiyuk, Deebo, Kittle, Purdy and Mason(89 rushing yards is not a limping rush game). Add to that, Bosa played...compare these stats:

Kyler: 195 passing yards, 1 Passing TD, 1 Interception, 83 Rushing Yards, 1 Rushing TD

Purdy: 244 passing yards, 1 Passing TD, 2 Interceptions, 33 Rushing Yards, 0 Touchdowns

MHJ: 36 Receiving Yards, 0 TD

Aiyuk: 147 Receiving Yards, 0 TD

Wilson: 78 Receiving Yards, 0 TD

Deebo: 11 Receiving Yards, 0 TD, 9 Rushing Yards, 0 TD

McBride: 53 Receiving Yards, 0 TD

Kittle: 64 Receiving Yards, 1 TD

Connor: 86 Rushing Yards, 0 TD, 14 Receiving Yards, 0 TD

There is NO WAY...the 49ers offense was limping in this game.

So, if we beat Green Bay and the 49ers beat Seattle, we go to first place in our division...now...who would have ever thought that? That is why I say that this game against Green Bay is going to be one of the most important games of our season if not the most important in turning our season around. And not only do we go into first place in our division if we beat the Packers and Seattle loses, we will be at .500 for the season. On our way to a 9-8 record as I predicted before the season started...

We get Zay Jones back this week...right? Well, he is a true #2 WR...last season he may not have been because he started only 7 games and Kirk and Riddley were the top two WR's. But before last season, Jones was the #2 WR behind Kirk. Jones will take pressure off of Marvin and Michael Wilson...

Will DRob make a difference on our defense? I am going to say yes. Will Prater be back for this game against the Packers?

I think we have a very exciting game coming up...the Packers are a good team and a very good team with a healthy Love at QB...so...we have our work cut out for us...

Packers Points for the season: 29, 16, 30, 29 (We are going to have to score upwards of 30 Points for us to win this game)

Packers Points allowed for the seasons: 34, 10, 14, 31

The Cardinals are going to GB in relatively good shape healthwise after five hard games. Historically, GB is a Cardinals-friendly town. The Redbird can win there anytime of the year. And there are no zombies.

Michael Wilson on the JV podcast yesterday stated all of the offensive lineman during pre-season trading camp that Darius Robinson should be a Pro-Bowler within a coupe of years as the OL raved about him.

The team could take a BIG leap upward if both the 2024 1st rounders perform at even 90% of their expectations. MHJ/DRob playing at 90-100% of expectations can more than make up the disappointment so far in the 2024 FA class.

Yes - right now I think MHJ is at about 70% of expectations as Kyler and him are not yet in sync.

BTW: Weather forecast now is calling for mid - 50's but showers expected on Sunday ... don't think this favors the Cardinals however under JG the team sure did perform last year vs. Steelers so we'll see.
