I agree. This statement wasn't needed. A true leader would be humble and say: "Yes, it's my job to help get him involved. He is a very talented receiver and asset. We truly want to take advantage of all the weapons we have"
I don't see Kyler being here much longer. If we struggle this year and if MHJ doesn't have great stats, they will be looking for a QB. MHJ was wide open on that play and a big reason Kyler didn't see him was due to his size. It's obvious we have to go with a different QB. That doesn't excuse our lack of a running game or poor playcalling. It's not all on Kyler but Kyler also limits what we can do based on his height.
Have you seen the play breakdown beyond the still frames? Cause if you did, I don't think you have a hill to stand on. I mean...I would take Kurt Warner's and Orlovsky's don't blame him... Yeah I’ve seen what the so called experts have to say. I don’t listen to much of what Dan says, remember him running into the back of the end zone for a safety against minn?? I also watched the game, little old check down Kyler doesn’t impress me still in yr 6.

That endzone catastrophe from Dan was embarrassing

Imagine Warner saying it’s not his job to the ball to Fitz ? To me it’s an outlandish statement to make. It’s the QB’s job to read a defense & call an audible if need be. Fitz had earned it by the time Warner showed up…

He flew the whole offense to train at USC. To build comradery and rapport on his own dime (at considerable expense I may add). He also had nothing but nice things to say about Beachum, despite Beach giving up a ton of sacks in game 1. All that despite the fact that Beachum trashed him in a public forum. Why do you hate Kyler so much? I don’t hate anyone mate. I just don’t think he is a good NFL Quarterback. I’ve seen no growth as a player in 6 seasons. Still makes way too many mental errors. Is this because he is lazy and won’t study film? Is is because he still cant read a defense and see what they are doing pre snap? It’s just my opinion, for the cardinals sake I hope I’m wrong. I was big on kolb and Rosen so what does my opinion matter anyways… haha That's completely fair.

Kyler also limits what we can do by continuing to not want to play from under ce Yes, but some of his reasoning isn't wrong. He hasn't had a running game. So when he played behind center, he would get killed. We never developed an inside running game so he got killed on those downs. And to his credit, Kyler advocated drafting inside lineman when Keim was still GM. It's just something we have ignored or assumed was a strengith. I still remember when Creed Humphrey was available out of Oklahoma. The Chiefs got him. That would have been a great addition for our team. He was available and we had a huge need at center. He became a 2nd team All Pro twice.

6 seasons, is it not his job to learn how to adapt and overcome?

Murray is not press conference savvy at all. But I honestly don't think his MHJ comment was a slam against Petzing or the rookie. The way K1 has stated his trust in Petzing this entire offseason; calling Petzing a 'genius.' means, imo, Kyler trusts his OC in play selection no matter down and distance and that Petzing will get MHJ the football.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on Kyler saying it’s not his job to get MHJ the ball? It was shot at the playcalling and playdesign in my opinion.

His job is to win, not get any player stats. He is correct. I do however want a better game plan and let Kyler be Kyler.

High school football running around making stuff up won’t work forever in the nfl. That’s what we’ve seen over the 6 seasons. He’s been figured out. He’s been coasting on natural abilities. The drunk came out on his podcast this week basically saying the same thing. Too talented for years and refuses to study film to get better.

Free to believe as you wish, the kid needs some structure I agree but he also needs to cut loose just play football the way he knows how. He has to have a greenlight at times to do what thinks is best.

There are 31 other teams that K1 doesn't play on if he is too unbearable to root for.
K1 has issues...not near as many as the narrative being pushed by a few on this thread. He is the Cardinal's QB I support him and he gives the Cards the best chance to win.
The worn-out lies of he can not throw over the middle or can not play under center are worn out false narratives by ones who have an axe to grind. Show some proof...on the other hand, the Cards ran 25% of the snaps under center in the first half last week. They had the lead at the half. Look at the graphics Cardinalsins posted showing the location of all the throws. There were plenty of completions in the center of the field.
Bring some substance.

Why should I have to follow another team because of bad qb play? Worn out lies?? Haha ok again champ. Everyone that’s not a fan boy can see he’s too small to be an effective nfl calibre qb. You keep riding him all you like, free world and that. Just like I’m free to dislike a player that isn’t good at his job.
