Beachum is not the answer at RT. He's a great locker room guy from what we're told as well as being a team leader as a veteran. He was a traffic cone with a Beachum jersey draped over it on Sunday. He was AWFUL! This guy is done and I appreciate the leadership his fellow teammates say he brings, but he is a liability in pass pro.

Not sure if I'm ready for more Beachum At this stage in his career he is very much 'a filler inner' rather than a main starter. We may have to run with Beachum for a while and hope Jonah Williams is back shortly and performs well. - In the meanwhile, maybe we will have to bolster the right side by stationing in a blocking TE alongside him for the majority of time (adapt our Offense)? Right Tackle is the perennial problem position for the Arizona Cardinals and is as much a fixture like weeds appearing in the garden during early Springtime...

Williams signed a 2-year deal with the Cardinals in March. It sounds like he could land on IR, where he would have to remain for at least 4 games.
We will hopefully find out in the next few days how much time Williams could be out and how the Cardinals handle his absence.
Watch for the Cardinals to search through teams' Practice Squads for a RT relief if Williams is out the year.

RT Jonah Williams to Miss TimeThe game vs. Rams is almost becoming a must win ... Lions & 49ers are probably playing in the NFC championship game and they are 2 of the next 3 opponents after Sunday.

RT Jonah Williams to Miss TimeThe game vs. Rams is almost becoming a must win ... Lions & 49ers are probably playing in the NFC championship game and they are 2 of the next 3 opponents after Sunday. Thanks CFQC Before the season I thought Jonah’s weakness was speed rushers at the edge. I also thought the value in the Tip draft pick was his blocking, thus Tip protecting Jonah’s outside shoulder on speed rushers was the key. I still trust Beachum and he is a better than average swing tackle. The Cards got schooled on OL allowing the rushers to pinch K1 in the pocket. K1 has to get rid of the ball fast and DLs will be putting arms up to block throwing lanes. Tip is still a blocking weapon to widen the pocket and protect the RT. I still am firm on under center play action short routes and run the rock. Stafford made the opener competitive with short passes and moving the sticks. K1 can take the deep shot when the defense is right to do so. Moving the chains and controlling the clock are the keys. The less the Card defense in on the field the better. Hutchinson at edge had a 94 PFF pass rush grade against the Rams and had 1 sack only. He also had 9 pressures. The short pass game kept Stafford from getting knocked out. Late Sunday QBs and Monday QBs who are great at pointing out possible errors are clowns at time. The NFL players get paid to mess up their opponents. Things get ugly…getting a win is the most importance. Goff with a 43 PFF is a hero and he couldn’t hit a barn with a handful of rice. I don’t care how ugly it is…let’s hope the Cards lay the lumber on the Rams.

Is it because the OC wants to do it, or because KM is pushing it?

K1 gets all the blame 24/7…IMO Petzing said it’s not important so it is on him. Blame always starts with coaches. The coaches got schooled week one…it is in the rear view now…let’s see what happens this week. Reporters are asking these questions… there is legitimacy to this.

Yeah I probably need to listen to the interviews with the coaches. I have not been listening, outside of Gannons quick interview right after the Bills game. My concern is, KM is demanding to stay in shotgun formation. Im not trying to "attack" KM, or think he isnt a good QB. Its just a question that keeps popping up in my head. 2 different coaching staff, still a lot of shotgun formation. But yeah, as you said, lets see how they adjust this week against the Rams.

The take on K1 being demanding about shot gun is a personal thought that I respect that. Nothing I have seen reflects that thought. K1 has been positive about the coaching. My personal thought is the coaching should let the players have a ton of input and coach around the players preferences. I have heard so much negative about K1 and some is legitimate and most not. He is the Cards best QB and gives the team a chance to win and I will leave it at that.
