What if Kyler Sucks??? You mean worse than the QB's that played instead of him when he was out?

The question should not be "What if Kyler Sucks"....but rather What if our team Sucks?
We have won 8 games in two seasons...hmm...
Compare these stats for Murray.... 2023 Started 8 Games Completion Percentage: 65.7% TD Percentage: 3.7% Interception Percentage: 1.9% 2021 Started 14 Games Completion Percentage: 69.2% TD Percentage: 5.0% Interception Percentage: 2.1% Career Average Started 65 Games Completion Percentage: 66.6% TD Percentage: 4.2% Interception Percentage: 2.1% As you can see from the stats above...Murray is very consistent regardless of the team that surrounds him. His stats in 2021 were just marginally better than the past two seasons. So, why did we win 11 games in 2021 but only 4 games each of the past two seasons? Did we have a better roster in 2021? Coaching? The way I am looking at those stats is that, as long as Murray can remain consistent on those specific stats, then if we field a better roster this year than the past two seasons, I can see us winning no less than 9 games this year...and who knows...maybe even 11 games like in 2021. We have to keep something in mind...our rookie players from last season have one year of experience...can Michael Wilson, B.J. Ojulari, Garrett Williams play at a much higher level than last season? McBride broke out last season...in his second year. Paris Johnson played way above the level I expected from him...will he be even better this season? Now add to the mix, what players and how many might have a great rookie season? I see 9 wins minimum this season. And the following year we should have a great team, a playoff contender.... So, I would not worry about whether or not "What if Kyler Sucks"... Murray Stats

To go along with Flash
According to FBanalytics the Cards ranked 9 in offensive EPA/play in weeks 10-18 in 2023
That was with no #1 WR and an injured rookie WR2. McBride had to step in with an end of Ertz ability and given ample opportunity. K1 was coming off injury with a thin option of weapons and the defense wasn’t helping with depth issues, injuries and thin as per talent.
In 2024 Monti filled the many holes as well as depth issues…it is just a matter if real life works out as well as what’s on paper projects.

Even if he sucks, I'd rather focus on building OLine before making any big moves at QB.

I don't see K1 "sucking". He's in maybe the best shape ever, looks pretty ripped and with James Connor, McBride, MHJ, Wilson and Dortch I cannot envision sucking as an option. If he gets hurt? Now that's a whole other can o worms. Much would hinge on the severity and the length of absence. I pray the football Gods keep him and his weapons under their protective wings ALL season! 🙏🙏

Me either. The guy has already shone he can be a star....both passing and running. He is going to have a lot of tools this year. As others have pointed out and my biggest concern as well. Can he stay healthy? If so, this could be his biggest year yet. And just for the fun of it.... linkLeft to right.... Elijah Higgins Marvin Harrison Jr. Zay Jones Chris Moore Greg Dortch Kyler Murray Andre Baccellia Michael Carter Trey Benson James Connor Trey McBride Just The Dortch is the only guy shorter than Kyle. I don't care. I love little guys that can play.

(nitpicking here but they deserve naming also - IMHO)

Does a beer belly count? It sure does, especially if you made a typo and meant Flabbs, not abbs. But who cares how old guys look?
I think our crop of rookies might just surprise many, sooner or later... hopefully sooner.

KM won't "suck" in 2024. He's got a lot riding on this year, his 6th as a pro. Worst case, he will hit his averages. But if he fails to perform (aka win, tears an ACL, is benched, etc) for any reason, I look for MO to eat the remaining contract cost and move on from KM by 2026. My chief team concern is the defense in 2024. Rallis has to do better. He has the tools.

K1 has sucked in one game in his career...playoff game against the Rams. He has been good despite some injuries...he has needed better coaching and a better roster.
k1 has elite skills and is short. Short as brought out on other threads is better than too tall. 2024 is projecting to be great as a Card fan.

He's going to have a very good year.I wasnt sure for the longest time which direction he is going to go in. It was not entirely the coaching/ GM either. It was Kyler. But he was young and the knee injury I suspect was a blessing in disguise. He was removed from what he's done all his life. He was criticized. He was marginalized. All this was good. He wants the spotlight. I see him at big UFC events and craving that spotlight. He wants to be in that big time athlete universe. Not saying he's going to be there. But now he has motivation.
Expect a big year. I'm actually excited about him and the team. Like others have mentioned we got legit coaching/GM now.

I said after that injury that the challenges faced by a long rehab like ACL/MCL will either break or mature a young man. I think we are seeing which way it went for him, because I honestly don’t remember this version of Kyler in previous pre-seasons.

Short as brought out on other threads is better than too tall. 2024 is projecting to be great as a Card fan. No he has flat out sucked in other games and I used to be one of his defenders. He has cost us games with bad decisions at crucial times and those decisions were a result of his failure to read a defense and being prepared. He played at OU in a soft system against weak defenses. Lincoln Riley's offense is designed to get a receiver wide open and in the Big 12, they don't play defense. When he went to the NFL, he didn't have that luxury.
But to be fair, he has also won us games on pure athleticism and compensating for a weak offensive line and a lack of a running game. So it goes both ways. If you gave Kyler an inside running, a lot of his problems would be fixed. But when you can't run inside and you are constantly in third an long situations, you are going to struggle as a QB.
The Cardinals front office hasn't done Kyler any favors. I mean how does Steve Keim pass on his favorite target in college Ceedee Lamb for Isaiah Simmons. Most of us were calling for Lamb on this forum. It was a no brainer. And to be honest, they still didn't really improve the interior of the offensive line. We are still not going to be able to run effectively inside.
